Casino Royale

by josta59
Where intelligence is something else entirely. Welcome to the butt end of espionage.

Loosely based on the work of Ian Fleming, Casino Royale is a full-page photographic sophisti-delic romp bridging the categories of action and humor, a mad tale of international intrigue in a reality that's a bit skewed from our own.

You know that movie Casino Royale that came out last year? Yeah, it's nothing like that. At all. I haven't even seen it yet.

Finissimo!
At last, the final chapter! Sorry it took me so long to finish it. I'm getting married in three weeks, so I've been busy! Congrats to Enkida for winning...that is...for submitting the only entry to the create-a-character contest. That's her at the bottom of the page, as agent Bardi! Thanks for all the great comments on my short story. I'm done with photographic comics now, but I'm itching to do more writing with a decent artist. I'll be around, so message me with your ideas. Thanks again!

Wow, I didn't realize...I just moved into a condo, and I'm getting married in a few weeks! Even though I don't draw, this is still pretty time-consuming. I'm really thinking about wrapping it up in one big shebang. I sure appreciate the compliment, though!

Yeah, get to it, bud. I look forward to your updates over most of the other comics in my favorites --- so go on and update already.
Thanks, dude!
More wallpaper
Sorry, just didn't get around to making a new comic this week, but I wanted to give you something. I can't take credit for this, of course. If you haven't figured it out by now, The Ghost of Casino Royale is played by a young Robert De Niro, and this wallpaper makes use of a promotional painting for a Taxi Driver movie poster back in the '70s. I have no idea who painted it (probably no one knows), or I'd certainly give credit. So whether you like it because it's The Ghost, because it's Travis Bickle or because it's De Niro, it's something fun for your desktop. See you back here soon.

Love the 'wrote a new song' bit. As always, looking forward to your updates.

Yeah, what you actually wrote was some kind of mangled form of "Hello, would it be considered that this room is to be empty?" I'm not a native speaker but I live in Germany so you can always ask if you need a rough, not always grammatically correct German translation for something. Or plain old fact checking for stuff such as "Munich is not in Northrheinwestfalia." ;)
Oh, is it wrong? I use freetranslation.com, and I translate it both ways to be sure. That's what it gave me! Oh, well. Next time I'll run it by you! Thanks, Enkida.

These ARE hilarious. Cheney's lip, Radiohead as assassins... they do make more sense than an Ian Fleming novel, though. XD

em though your German could use a little improvement, haha.
Your ability to draw is poor. And never say never.
Whether people like my comic or hate it or just plain don't get it, at least they'll never criticize my drawing ability! Hope you're enjoying the story if you've made it this far.

I really appreciate that, stm. That's the first opinion I've heard of any kind aside from my fiancee (and she's biased). Even if you didn't like it, I'd appreciate the input!

These are hilarious. And. Um. Fast paced?

The exposition is really funny. I love the choice of characters. And the premise, as soon as I caught on, made me laugh aloud.

Keep it up!
