You'll be alright.
You don’t have to rush your self. You don’t have to always get these comics out. Just do what you want to, and do what you love. Everyone here will be supporting you during these tough times.

AHHHHHHHH I wish I would check smackjeeves more than once in a blue moon! I love the your style and wouldn't really change it. As for comic making, really just do what's best for you... College is hard on every single part of you, so don't push it and continue doing what you love. And please, don't think we don't care about you; I might not be as active here, but I still love it every single time I see you post something!
Sorry I have been busy, but I really enjoy your content, I have been wondering what happened to you.
@JamestheTyphlosion: I am glad to see you updated again, in terms of advice I only got one thing: just work at your own pace, but don't fall back too often, I have seen a lot of other Smackjeeve comics cancelled, because the author thought their art wasn't good enough or they kept redoing the comic over and over again, while steadily losing the interest and fun it once held for them, DON'T LET THAT HAPPEN TO YOU. I may not always reply or show myself, but I am watching and enjoying your work and I WISH YOU THE BEST! I AM ROOTING FOR YOU! ~TYPED YOUR FAN,"LovedDarkLonelinessEevee"! :)
@JamestheTyphlosion:
Go ahead, take the time needed to get everything in order. This community knows that in order for the comic to continue, your life must come first in all ways. Those who don’t see it that way were never a true part of the community anyway.

The pressure is there from education, but take your time with it. Relax, take a month long break if need be, anything that can help you feel more at ease.

Do your comics on a day that there is less work on your hands, so that it would say update weekly on the page

@JamestheTyphlosion: College is really hard.I know that because the same thing is happening in senior high school. We all get the pressure because of these. But it's better to take your time in this in order to graduate college and get a certified job.

I will be supporting you in any way I can. We, as a community of people bound together by this novel, will support you because we care just that much about you, and your work. In many ways, we have to thank you as well for everything you have done for us. Take your time adjusting, I know how hard it can be, and remember that we are standing by your side all the way up to the very end.

Guess I rarely commented here, if at all. This was the first webcomic that I've read/found and without it, I probaly never encountered this part of the internet. *throws thanks and motivation at you* As for improving, you could try out some new things in the way you draw things or look up how others are doing / what looks good to you in their drawings. That at least helps me discover some new possibilities for drawing. I'm not a professional at giving advice but I hope it helps.
Seriously, from the bottom of my itty bitty heart, thank you all for the comments on the last image I put on here.
You all have given me so much to think over, and I want to thank each and every one of you for what you said. I'm sorry it took a while to get a response out, but college has been hammering my head and such, so I want to say this.

I am taking at least 3 weeks to look over each comment, and start to put together a set goal in mind of how to get myself back on track. But also, I need some time to get into the swing of college, and find a pattern that works best for me to get drawings done.

But mostly, to improve, and inform you guys of whats happening and such. Again, I cannot thank you all as much as I can with how grateful I am for your comments. Thank you so much.

some random that never comments
Much like littlekirby, I may not comment often or at all, but we do see it, and we are very willing to wait however long it takes. Maybe you don't have to do a full art, but at least give us a note that you're still there, and we'll do what we can, from wherever we are. Good luck, and stay strong.

First and foremost, if the only reason you're continuing the comic is for us, don't. I love it, and I know others do as well, but you don't owe us anything. If this is stressing you out too much, it's not worth it. Second, I think you mentioned you might have an easier time if you wrote the story? If so, it might worth considering. I like the comic, and I'll gladly keep reading it if you decide to keep making it, and I'd read the story if you decided to write it. If you decide to discontinue it, I'd be sad to see it go because I like your art, the world is interesting, and there are a few plot points I'm really curious about, but you don't need to drive yourself into the ground for my sake.

My Feedback, And Help
I may not be able to help much... However what i do want to say and feel that you may need to hear is...

"I know I am not a special artist." You may think that but you are who you are and that is what makes you special... You'r art is different from every other person on this planet... Like how no two snowflakes are the same, No two artists are the same. The techniques can be, but not the artist

"I don't want to lose what I enjoy, what I love, what I worked for, What I want as my future" Then go and do it... Your future and what you love should not be affected by what others think, say... If you love it, Then go and do it...

If i seem negative in any way, please ignore that part as i am purely trying to be positive and helpful

Look man, everyone is special in their own way.You and your own work of art and comic is special for us.Sometimes other comics doesn't seem to have that much comment but the thing is people enjoy it and would want to see what happens next.We readers wouldn't want you to leave. It would be really sad to leave a work cancelled and unfinished. But sometimes it would be best to upload your comic whenever you can or you feel like it.And same goes for the comments.

Psssst. I get happy for any comic updates that happen ever. I don't care if they are frequent or infrequent. For a few comics I used to read, I even waited several years before unfollowing them. You still have support James and diehard fans don't leave that easily. <3

I'm pretty silent when it comes to the comics I watch. That's because I watch over 100+ Pokémon comics and counting. I don't really have much time to leave a comment, but I still enjoy seeing what gets posted by people who post comics.

I do enjoy each comic that comes out, but I'm quite silent when it comes to my commenting. Sometimes, I do comment on others, but they always turn out longer than expected. And sometimes, I want to leave a comment that's meaningful, but sometimes leaving meaningful comments on all these comics would be too much time wasted while I could be working on homework in college.

Anyway, I feel like others might have their own reasons of being silent. Some might not know what to say. Others are just lazy and don't think about leaving a comment and are just there for the art. But there are still people watching, even if there's no response. Just keep on moving if this is something you enjoy doing!
