I saw this web comic's promo on the Smack Jeeves home page and decided to check it out. I'm certainly glad I did! The premise, art, layouts, character design, plotting and
dialogue are all first rate. Sadly, I'm up to speed and have to wait for more episodes. I've bookmarked this strip and the best of luck with it.

@Nicosar: Fairly rare! Normally, there are more souls "in circulation" then there are new people for them to become. This is why there can be a great many years between lifetimes. But sometimes, the overall population of fairies increases to the extent that there isn't anyone waiting to be reincarnated, and a new soul forms all on its own.

Out of interest, how rare are new souls?
Happy New Year Everyone!

Thanks for reading this far and we hope you enjoy what's in store for our heroes this year--they're about to get involved in a battle that's much bigger than they bargained for and ends up connecting to some world-shaking conflicts. We are in the home stretch this month finishing up the colors on Robin's upcoming graphic novel for First Second, which should be released in 2018. Once this huge project is finished (and maybe after a little vacation to let Robin's drawing hands recover), we're hoping to do two page a week updates for most of the year! Wish us luck!

Hey!
Hey Ushala, you hurt Kivar's feelings, it's not her fault that's what she needs to survive you know.

Also, it's then obvious Kivar cares for Ushala, so this is interesting. Kivar's character arc is going somewhere, oh!

Angel/Demon
I think our "demon" are the little shoulder angel/deamon all wrapped up in one.

Mistakes made?
Their actions seem morally somewhat just considering the "bad guys" were about to sacrifice an innocent (and stupid) kid but logically they are so very screwed.

I mean they just prevented resurrection (or reincarnation) of the guy who could foresee future and was supposedly a skilled tactician. They also slaughtered a group of useful people with multiple lifetimes of experience in a situation where they already lacked people. People who were on the city's side I might add.

I mean maybe the "bone queen" can defeat the enemy general but she can still be only in one place at a time. Oh and that's assuming her past doesn't come back to her and she doesn't return back to her old ways.

The mountain is pretty much doomed either way. I mean what defenses they have? A group of ragtag refugees against a trained army...

...
Looks like Ushala is begrudgingly accepting the dark necessities of being a savior.

Ushala looks so resigned to this fate in that panel.

@showsoversynergy: "so, are you like, a total creepo on purpose or does it just come naturally?"

I don't understand what you're talking about. Can you please be less insulting, and explain yourself without using a leading question?

Story Progression, Emotional Maturity, and Story Progression.
@Nicosar: Sure he's entitled to it... but only for a little bit. For one, it's hard to sympathize for a hero if they're crying all the time. For two, he should be happy his potential murderers are all dead and reincarnating soon.

And three, he's not out of the woods yet. This world is cruel and dangerous. If he's going to be tagging along with Cor and Ushala, then I sincerely hope he's not going to be a useless blubbering fool.

I'm pretty sure he's entitled to it - his guardians and only friends just tried to kill him. Plus, y'know, they're also all dead, and it was tipped off by his own decision to confess his suspicions to Triin.
