When the last living descendant from a family of demon hunters is forced to make a deal with a demon to save human lives, she finds herself caught in a trap neither of them expected. With their lives unwillingly placed in each others' hands, the unlikely pair struggles to get through each day without killing each other. The strange companions they pick up along the way only make the situation more entangled.

She goes because she has no choice. The plan is: find a cure, kill the demon, go home. But when the reasons for the journey begin to become clear, she may find it harder than she thought to turn away.
