Love it!
I absolutely love this comic ^_^
Sail, that's a great analysis of the second panel too (I was looking at it the same way).
MEP, do you have any plans on releasing a book of Dead City?

Hey readers, let's take a quick moment to appreciate the execution of the second panel.
"It's just been a lot." Mikael says, in a panel where the words hang in a wide empty space, and the only other focal points are the tired, sad faces of the two characters. Of course there's a little humor here because of the visual juxtaposition we get, in that there's NOT a lot in the panel. But more importantly there's A Lot in the context of the panel itself. The way the word bubble seems disconnected from the speaker, floating in a blankness, making the statement seem a bit disassociative. The way the words themselves underplay what "a lot" really means, but at the same time sum it all up neatly. Because yeah, it's been A Lot, but 'a lot' hardly covers just how much.
And then at the bottom of all this empty space we have the characters, alone with each other, alone with A Lot, the looks on their faces just SO tired and haggard and worried. And with the word bubble placed so high above them, once you look down at the characters they seem swallowed up in silence after that statement.
Even if you took this panel away from the context of the whole rest of the story, it's got legs to stand on. It can totally carry itself as a solo panel. (In fact I feel this one panel on a deeply personal level lately. Maybe that's why it's struck just a cord with me while reading)

And idk, I just?? sodkfjslj re-read this and it's very late and I'm sorry if I'm not eloquent enough to explain what I mean here.
Just look at that panel and really appreciate how well-executed it is in its layout. FFFFFF. GOOD JOB.

@Guest: Hi, the author here. Thanks for your long comment! Dead City is a comic where not very much happens, and that becomes very obvious when you have to read each page week by week. Unfortunately there isn't a way for us to change our layout or update schedule so we will continue posting pages with only a few panels on them.
I hope that you continue to enjoy Dead City in whatever way works the best for you! Thanks for reading.

Dear author:
I really like your comic. I really do. I think the plot is very interesting, even when there are other comics exploring similar scenarios, I just enjoy a lot how simple and complex lots of the things happening you portrait: it makes feel like Im actually seing real people interacting with each other and dealing with the circunstances they are in. There is only one negative comment I would like to make because it bothers me, and I dont know if others has stated this before and if you replied, and you have all the right in the world of ignoring this comment or replying to it as well. I dont like that the comic is updated with such little action going on: I mean, with only two frames or tree. Because of this, sometimes, instead of entering to see the update, I wait till there is more for me to see. Then again, is just my opinion and Im not saying you should change it because maybe you like it or are your preferences or other people enjoy the comic more this way or whatever reason there might be. Thanks for reading this very long comment, tu cómic es genial y muy entretenido e interesante! I will be waiting for the next updates as always :)
