@TheLezbian monkey: Aye, Haven is definetly not being the innocent one in this for sure! She's a character full of flaws and hypocrissy at worst! She's not intentionally cruel though. At the start it can be a few confusions and misprounounces at hand, but after a while if the person still dont care to correct it they're just imbeciles.
I mean I don't like how Kareen tre rd there friend. But she dose have a very good point about how our main charictor gose about trans people . With calling Sophie she when they have said that they are a he .but will call there drag friend she until it doesn't sute her.

@kidcthulhu: Yes I thought I add up a new page instead of spamming this one. Though technically I could just used this comic....
But honestly I think its better to keep seperate, since this comic ended with Crystal going to the club and cut short, but she'll appear in the new one too ^^

So just finished the first chapter+ of a comic I call Latte-Bohemia (I know the title is pretty dumb, in norwegian its 'Lattebohemen' which makes more sense, but i didnt find another title for it now so for now its the working title.
Its a reference to a time in Oslo around the 1880s where a bunch of painters and writers formed a political group called 'christiania bohemen', and dreamed of changing the world.
As a backstory:
The latte-boheme title refers also to Oslo-citizens often being teased for being soft and enjoy latte. And our new generation, of course. Despite the fact we have better times in 2018 than in the 1800s, norwegians have long felt that the cooperations are taking over in retail (which is a world phenomia really).
So basically the comic is about the world changing and people fighting to keep their jobs (retail). Often those in retail businesses are starving artists (or students, or just in general people who like to work in retail or want to open their own business one day). So the name felt fitting.

I made a site for it, just to make it easier to seperate the stories, but it is actually a continuation of this comic (sort of!).
Meaning; All old characters will appear, as well as new main characters, but dont worry- We'll see alot more to Ahiti and the others too.
You can find the comic here http://www.smackjeeves.com/comicprofile.php?id=177298 under 'latte bohemia'.
Not going to hardcore on the updates though, i still want to focus on mainly extinct but i find it nice to do something different sometimes.
Did she get a goldfish from the petstore clerk?
Crazy goldfish lady reminds me of a newer comic.
Love the face expressions in this page.

Those poor fingers!
This page made me laugh.
Oh look, it is the devil child.
@kidcthulhu: Hehe yeah, who'd think she's only 19 years old! Thank you, the new SJ thing is if you dont have a banner the comic wont show up in archives at all, GMMW has been hidden for so long because I didnt have a proper banner for it. Ironically that cover image I just updated with is 2 years old or something, I just forgot to actually put it up.
@Linn: Wow, I just glanced at Bekeblob's page in the link and I am impressed!

Also, I like the new coverpage you added here ^_^
I'm working on a comic at the moment set in the GMMW universe, it will get a new page because it has a new 'cast' so to say.
The character arcs from this will probably reappear in the comic though! I've not found a name for it yet, but it is a possibility It will just be called The concrete jungle, and it will be even more Oslo-accurate (as I now live in Oslo and know how Oslo-people work from the inside hurr hurr).

Meanwhile- gorgeous fanart from bekeblob as a suggestion for Fishladys upcoming gig. Sushiroll costume is very relevant for first chapter!
Bekeblob has great stuff on her page and is a good friend of mine from art school.

@Linn: That's a good system, I think it's important to know about other disciplines in order to make good art. For example photography gives you a good idea of framing a picture and what to leave out, painting gives you more feeling for colour placement and sculpture gives you a better feeling for dimensionality and depth and shadows, you can use all of those things for drawing! General knowledge is good before going deeper into the subject you want to focus on. That sounds so cool! That's a specific kind of art not many people can do. I really used to love dolls, but now I try to not spend too much time and money on too many different things.
@Karlijn: I remember when buying coffee in netherlands it was called kofi and i thought 'thats so cute!' in norwegian we call it kaffe.
Language story itt sounds really interesting, you taught me something new, didnt know the japanese/dutch connection... I feel like i should known though :p
@Karlijn: It was nice, I went to a tradeschool which was a bit of the bauhaus model where first year is 3 random subjects, and i chose to go deeper into drawing at the end of the semester and do comics as its also a part of the drawing-part of the courses. I'm definately not super artsy when it came down to painting and scupltures though, i need a story or meaning behind everything.
However I have been trying to practice making art dolls. I used to dress up dolls, plushies and make clothes to them when i was a kid, so i thought i'd give it a try making proper ones!
@Linn: Yeah we also use ja! I love learning the similarities between languages, it makes it easier to learn them. There are even some Dutch-resembling words in Japanese (like kofi and some terms from boats, because the Dutch were some of the first people to have contact with the Japanese), I love learning stuff like that.
@Linn: That's so cool! I absolutely love comics and comic style things, but I never expect them at an art exhibition.
@Karlijn: I've seriously NEVER drawn a bike my entire life before this comic... I hadnt practiced much, i tried to do some quick doodles before i put it to action but it was suprisingly not that bad once i remembered how it was put together. It does change a bit as the pages go though lol
@kidcthulhu: It has, we usually say acute care, akutt basically means that ^^'
