@Lutztoons: Yup yup, this is where it all started, for better or for worse lol...

@Oly-RRR: I used to have a really bad habit of throwing away my old art because EW THIS IS OLD AND SUCKS >:O
I wish I hadn't done that. Years of history down the toilet. A lot of my old stories are still on my computer, though. They ain't so great, but sometimes I go through them and pick out ideas to use later on.

I'm glad that people are at least STARTING to become more aware of disability, but yeah. It's like nobody is supposed to talk about it openly. And I definitely count mental illness in with that, as well--my favorite is when someone writes some story about a person with a mental illness magically getting better because ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS BE MORE POSITIVE TEE HEE or something like that. Drives me up the wall. You're definitely doing a good job with what you're doing, though. It's made me think about things from a different perspective and I appreciate that a lot!

I'm glad to hear that! And I understand that it can be really hard to make art when life's wearing down on you. I hope things get better for you soon, I'm always up for a chat! :3

@Lutztoons: I'm the same, I love seeing how art of other artists evolved over the years. X) It's the main reason I try to keep my old stuff up because it's hard to see my own old art/writing the same way.

Well, yeah, these comics started partly from my frustrations how disability is a very common part of life (if you count mental illness as well - and I do - it'll be more than 1 in 4 people) and yet it's somehow a taboo subject irl and routinely badly done in fiction. Like WE HUMANS JUST CAN'T TALK ABOUT IT. :T So I'm trying to do something about it in my own small way. I'm definitely not the only person there but yeah, majority of fiction fails at disability themes in so many ways.

It's slightly weird (but good) that this conversation is happening now - life's been tough lately, and it affects my personal art but then this is a good reminder that I actually like making comics. :)

@Oly-RRR: You're welcome!! :3 Even though they're O L D, they're still really good. It's interesting to see how your art has evolved from then to now. I've always liked seeing peoples' old art.

Looking forward to reading more stories with Teague! And by the way, I really like how you present people with CP as regular people, flaws and all, just going through life. Matter of fact, I don't think I've EVER seen this kind of portrayal of people with CP or other disabilities in fiction. I've mainly seen them written as tragic victims who you're supposed to pity, precious angels who can do no wrong, or used as some kind of a "lesson" to the able-bodied people in the story, which are all equally cringey. That's why I like Teague, though--he's written as an actual person who makes mistakes, not as a prop.

And you're welcome! Here's to more kind words coming your way! :3

@Lutztoons: Hey, thanks for reading! :D Yeah, this was meant as a place for "supplementary" stories and a dumping ground for old old OLD comics some readers might still want to see. I'm mostly working on the revamp of one of those old comics now and I both never want to make that decision again and totally don't regret it. XD

You're spot-on about Teague - he's met his share of jerks in his life but he can be a jerk himself. These kids will get more stories eventually (either when I get through Chapter 1 or sooner).

And thank you for all the kind words again! :)

Hey, I spent the last hour or so reading through all of these, and OH MY GOD THEY ARE SO ENTERTAINING. I know most of em are a few years old, but they're still great. I love your lineart, your usage of color, attention to detail, and backgrounds. I really like the way you do expressions in particular. You're really good at showing a wide range of emotion in people.

The interaction on this page is so great. Teague seems like one of those people who's impossible to have an argument with when he gets heated. Then again, he's probably so sick of being stared at that he caught Michelle glancing in his direction and assumed the worst, even if that wasn't her intention. I also love Michelle's twisted-up, annoyed faces in panels 3 and 4. And the little dapples of light on everything!! Such nice details. I dunno, I'm having a hard time forming my thoughts into words, but I just really like all your comics and I'm looking forward to reading more of them!
@Helsic: I'll take that as a compliment (so would Philip). :P
@Helsic: Don't we all, don't we all...
@Helsic: I knooow, and stereotypes suck!

@Helsic: Thank you! :) Short stories here are all older than my "main" comic (linked in the header) but either way, I try to add a little diversity to the soup of webcomics.
ewwwwww so disgusting XD
