God Kicking Boot

by Wise Old Guru
This is the story of Boot, a young woman doing her best to do the right thing during a time of tumult. It is an Exalted webcomic, for the internet has too few of these. While it does not seek to glorify them, this comic will occasionally feature graphic violence and scenes involving genocide, institutionalized abuse, and other large-scale and personal-scale atrocities.

This is an Exalted webcomic. While it is intended to be an enjoyable read for anyone, you'll enjoy it more if you've played in the roleplaying setting in which the story is set. In-jokes and references will happen.

@Johnd181: you do know the comic and the comments aren't the same right? afterall, your post wasn't written or spellchecked by the author
Cheap goods
obviously like your website but you have to check the spelling on several of your posts. Several of them are rife with spelling problems and I find it very bothersome to tell the truth nevertheless Ill definitely come back again. dkgadcbadegd
@Chejop Kejak ...that would be Breeze, master. I must admit I am surprised ; I assumed she needed the pipe to do that.
Who, Nitya? She seems fit enough. It takes a deft touch to lift bonsai off a shelf in panel 4, yet be casually holding it at the top of the previous page.
@Chejop Kejak And yet, master Kejak, you are a peerless sorcerer yourself. One can't help but wonder...

On a different topic, I can see my dear colleague is as moody as ever. I fear her current assignment will not help in that regard...
@WuseMajor: Technically, it is almost impossible to conclusively show that ANY story is NOT about Sidereals. It's the deep, dark subtext of at least one major soap opera!

Another case in which speech bubble aligns with eye color. That certainly supports Lurker's theory.

Generally speaking, Sorcery is a mixed bag for agents of Heaven. On the one hand, power in the cause of Creation is worth any price. On the other, this particular price often involves binding oneself to potent, untrustworthy entities (which, you will surely see, is a redundancy). For this reason, the servants of Fate are best served mastering the martial arts, and learning to manipulate the esoteric forces of existence by their own wills, rather than through intermediaries.

...and yet, in this exchange, Breeze seems far more in control of her actions than Nitya. Worth noting: self-discipline is for nothing without sound assessment.

Put another way: do you think Breeze really dropped that bonsai?
earthblood? i'd have guessed air for him, what with the pailness and lightning-looking veins/scarwork.
guess he was slowly turning into marble?

(then again i wouldn't have guessed air for the governor even though she looks fairly northern so what do i know)
who *doesn't* think ahlet is an asshole? he is one
@linkhyule5: iirc sids don't/can't generally impersonate somebody specific and real
so i see in this artstyle sids don't have starry eyes

that means bluesid frog could still be playing us ;)
@Chejop Kejak:
if you can't see bluesid eyes you can't see whether they're the same blue as frog?
do they all use some translation charm? why are the sids all speaking different tongues at eachother like hansolo and chewbacca?

edit- wait, i remember now, that was borders

(but even going by the borders alone...

stupid confusing sidereals with their stupid confusing sidereal accents;)
@Chejop Kejak: where? i thought the balloon colors were languages
The Beyond ?
Wait... The Beyond, as in "The dragon beyond the world" ? Oramus' Beyond ? What the hell are those sidereals doing ?
...Is that Boot's father?
....So, is this comic entirely about Sidereals now?
In either case, I see now that I had overlooked TEMLWLAM's post title, specifying that they are focused on speech balloon color.

That seems to hold up, but then again, I would be puzzled by the choice to hide Steel's eyes, then reveal his Caste immediately through other means. So this could go either way.
@Chejop Kejak:
or is red melon just one of that sid's cover ids
@The Evil Midnight Lurker (What Lurks At Midnight):

Journies, certainly. But both here and on page 72, Steel-Hearted Mandarin has kept his eyes hidden.

This is a good lesson to learn! If your job often involves stealth and deception, it is advisable not to give away any information lightly.

A far less admirable lesson is to share one's grooming habits with Red Melon.
Going by word balloon colors...
...Serenity and Journeys?
