The minimalistic tales: The legend of Zelda.

A comic where I retell stories of video games using EXTREMELY simple sprites.

I'm more focused on the story than the quality of the pages, and while I don't aim to make the pages downright ugly, I will cut corners here and there.

This specific comic is about The Legend of Zelda. I also have Minimalistic tales about
- The Super Mario series
- The Ace Attorney series
- And the Pokémon Anime
On a seperate comic.

You know, I've kept the tradition of this comic having the derpy faces and the single pose they stand in, but I grew bored of it. From this point on, I'm putting more effort into this comic.

I'm gonna work on updating the previous 12 pages of this story to have more varied poses.

The dialogue choices have absolutely no effect on anything, so I'm showing the responses for all of them, just cuz.

Yeah, the stamina thing is more of a mild inconvenience than the giant hassle everyone tends to make it out to be.

It's almost painful for me to admit this, but I've had the first 5 panels of this page finished for over a year now. I kept putting off finishing the page because I originally was going to make a new background for the last three pages, with this area seen from the left.

I had to practically force myself to make this page by telling myself I had to make pages for the various minimalistic tales in order, and then I just decided to us the same background, and the page was done in like 10 minutes.

Sometimes I can be so... unmotivated to do the easiest things.

This guy is what TVtropes calls a 'Fourth wall observer'.
Sure, he's not the only one in the game who refers to buttons, but this guy is definitely the king of fourth wall jokes.
The most prominent is the fact that he acknowledges it when you play on Hero mode, a harder version of the game that you unlock if you beat the game once.
He then forces you through this tutorial again, even though he admits that you probably already know what to do.

But the fact that he can see Mia when the camera pans over to the top of the roof is also notable.

Later on, you can help Fledge train to become stronger, using simple encouragement and, basically, steroids.
He will become so strong that he can easily manage a thousand push-ups, only referring to that as a light warm-up.

I seriously wish I was kidding about this. But no, all of the above is true. Sadly, I will not be covering that sidequest in the comic. Sorry, fledge.

Seeing Pipit talking about 'Bird expertise', I can only ever think about him giving dating tips.

Not that this Link is in need of that.

...Also, 'bird researcher' is kind of creepy in this context.

Shouldn't it be '60 hours remain' on the night of the first day?

With (girl)friends like that, who needs enemies?

Hey, look who finally got his act together and started continuing his Zelda comic.

Anyway, I like the way Link's room turned out. Too bad it'll only be seen in one or two more page after this one.

You remind me of Dilly-oh's Zelda comics.

I see you've decided to confuse Link, mysterious voice.
You succeeded tremendously.
