New comic *does happy dance*
I'm going to predict....drunk and passed out, maybe? Or maybe he's LITERALLY climbing the walls and Sophia will go "NOPE" and leave again. XP
Sophia, really, is the tea with Carlos really worth the risk you're taking here?
Wonderful!
This story is amazing! Oh my goodness! I just read all of it and I am so excited for this! I really hope you finish it!
@MLoreley: "(...H)e's not very good at handling personal relationships in an adult, mature manner."

It also doesn't help that he seems to think that he can buy his way out of any bad situation. (And possibly into Sophia's heart -- a situation that Sophia herself will *NOT* help by going back to the store...)
@AmyOf Darkness: Dahaa, I see. :3 WELP. The next few pages should start clearing up how much of a monster he is. XD
Hehe I know, it's the only thing keeping him from being a complete and total monster! I meant more that he's behaving as badly as that sort of child (though reading over what I said I really worded it rather poorly, haha!)
@AmyOf Darkness: While I agree that he IS very childish in his approach, Brian's generally been avoiding "picking on the girl" (until his patience was finally crossed). He doesn't think girls are icky; quite the contrary, he had his own "get ALL the girls" phase not too long ago. THAT SAID, he's not very good at handling personal relationships in an adult, mature manner.

And yeah, some kind of sitcommy jingle (though the batman scene transition would also be hilarious there).
Ah goodness the scene-transition at the bottom is so cute! The spinning bat-logo (jingle? sting? sound effect??) from the Batman tv show played in my head when I got to that panel! :3

You're close Sophia, you're his favorite in a way... too bad he can't get past his second grade "pick on a girl because you like her and but think girls are icky at the same time" mentality enough to be a decent human being to you!
And that Carlos is something else eh?<3
She's taking Carlos' advice to heart. Will it really pay off, though? Or are we looking at the Slap To End All Slaps?
@SarahN: :3 I'd feel worse for him if he wasn't totally an asshole who deserves all this.

And did he really buy the store out of spite? Ohohoho~

No...NO I MUSTN'T SAY IT I MUSTN'T-

Poor Brian.

SHIT. But yeah, he did it all to himself though. >.> This is why you don't buy a business out of mainly spite.
@MLoreley: Oh that's RIGHT! it is the same day haha I forgot! (I just woke up myself though so *snerk* my own exhaustion got in the way!)
If you try that program out definitely check out video tutorials, it took me a bit to figure things out but once I did it's been pretty useful. Nicest thing is it autosaves but it's never crashed so hey!
@AmyOf Darkness: Yeah, we're not supposed to feel bad for the bad guy. Sadly, in the process of writing him, I accidentally gave him a background that explains his bullshit.

And hoo boy he's got some problems.
@AmyOf Darkness: I've heard of that, and I'll look into possibly using that program. But I really hate backgrounds. XD

This is all actually the same day! But the stress is starting to get from him. Plus, he was up around the same time as Sophia was, so he didn't get a lot of sleep, either. He's been there since that morning (It's meant to be early afternoon by this point). So it's his own exhaustion catching up with him. :D
Caught betwen "HAHAW SERVES YA RIGHT" and "Aw, he's a jack@$s but he was raised that way" but i hope this low point is a learning moment for him! He's gotta realize he was the cause of his own misery here, and own up to that.
He looks like he hasn't slept! So I'll chalk up set changes to him just arbitrarily moving stuff around all night haha!
I have a little trouble with interior stuff myself, if you want a good custom reference on hand though, definitely try google sketch-up (it's free)and make a 3d layout. I made the first level of the cabin with it and it's just very nice to have something to visualize with.
But to be honest I'm paying more attention to your character interactions to notice any changes in the background! :D
Things aren't going so well, are they, Brian?
"(...I)s anyone surprised that Lucy is unwilling to deal with Brian's bullshit alone? I'm certainly not."

Me neither. Lucy is a smart girl!
Looks like he's been doing just fine since Sophia and Max left. =\
