PULSE

by MoonByte
Updates Sunday

A dystopian story mixed with fantasy elements about a group of unlikely individuals learning about life.

Major themes are: Sexuality, racism, moral and trust.
Warning, may contain triggers and mature topics.
Can contain (partial) nudity, consensual sexual relationships (of either orientation) and strong language.

_______________________________

The rhythmic recurrence of strokes, vibrations, or undulations; a throb of life, emotion, etc.
Usually refering to the heart beat, though everything can pulsate, be it music, a machine or even the earth itself. It is the foundation of everything with a rhythm, gives life to the static and order to the random.
And so, a pulse can become the one point that combines the most polar things in the world: the living and the lifeless. Humans and Machines.
Which pulse is stronger? Which rhythm is better?
Do they even differ...at all?

Y'know how it is.
Whenever you're hunted down by some birds and being shot at with explosives.
That's just a tad bit boring and such because meh, been there, done that.

@summerstorm: Thanks, I will have to learn to manage.

And well, they either truly believed that nothing will happen or they truly believed that something this ridiculous would lead to any insurance company helping them (in case this is insurance fraud).
No matter what, they're hilariously stupid.

@Aiyse:
Thanks. I am slowly getting to terms with the fact that I am probably just at that age where 1/3 of the people I grew up with are dying :/

And haha, funny story about that "blame someone else"-thing.
When the guy for securing evidence was there (who obviously didn't know what to secure since no one needed to touch that window to begin with), they pointed at me and told him I (a literal part-timer) was at fault since there's no camera on the fire escape (no hostel is legally obligated to have ANY cameras, let alone on a fire escape).
So yeah, you're more right than you're aware of :'D

Sorry to hear about your grandmother. :(

*massive facepalm at the idiots* And of course they'll blame everyone but themselves.

So yeah, granny got worse. She has full Parkinson now, spastic attacks, needs a wheelchair, so I kinda forgot (honestly) to make a page last week.

I remembered this week, though it's a bit late since I had a double nightshift at the hostel I work at.
Btw, I met some of the most stupid people of this planet during that shift. Like, those people had 20.000€ (~24.000$) in a handbag and that bag at a open window with the fire escape balcony right in front of it.
The police just looked at them with no words because, like...
Can you even still count that a theft if they pretty much only needed to hang a sign on the bag saying "Free, please take!"?
Every single guest has of course access to the fire escape and they put a HANDBAG into the OPEN window.
And thought it was perfectly fine to additionally keep 20.000€ in it. Not in a hidden bag, not on their body, not under their pillow, heck not even at least in a suitcase deeper into the room. Nope, that woman purse in the open window.
So forgive me for the time today, but I needed a lot of sleep after that much idiocy (that and I felt extremely depressed that people with access to such wealth are THAT. FUCKING. CARELESS).

@summerstorm: Well, he's definitely flexible enough to do some pretty sic stuff
When you take this out of context it kind of looks like he's breaking out some ultra sick dance moves.

My apologies for not having uploaded last sunday, my grandma ended up in hospital with Parkinson and I was kinda paranoid that it ends in a situation like with my grandpa on New Year.
She's better now though (and hopefully stays ok for quite some time), so the comic will resume without further distractions.
