I liked the idea of visualizing the dizziness of the character like this. What do you think?

In a perverse way, I think that the eye turning red from the blood gushing in has a beauty to it. What do you think?

This is the last of the preview pages for chapter 2. The chapter puts Derryl Mears in the focus of the story, showing us where he came from and who he is. If you are interested in reading the whole chapter, you can find more information on where to purchase the book on www.andygrail.com

@devil-wears-converse: Thank you. Good observation. My artwork here IS inspired by David Aja's work on Hawkeye. I wanted to create a similar feel to my comic.
I'm really digging your art style. It reminds me of the Hawkeye series

@andygrail: Aw, I was hoping it was a webcomic but it is your work so do what you think is best. And best of luck, of course! :)

@Oly-RRR: Putting a whole wall up while it is not your house would be one hell of a stunt ^^.

I will post only the introductions to the chapters on this site. Whoever is interested in reading the whole thing should buy the book. Book one has chapters 1-3. This year I will finish chapter 4, post the preview on this site and release it for kindle. When I have another 3 chapters ready, I will release another book for print with chapters 4-6. That's the plan.

@Oly-RRR: Every chapter focuses on another character, so there is no single protagonist.

Great... I suspected the killer was a cop but I rather hoped it wouldn't be the protagonist. D:

@andygrail: The body in the wall seems a bit circumstantial without the forensics (I mean come on, if you wanted to kill someone hiding the body on the property of their ex would be a smart thing to do) but yeah, that can work, thanks for the explanation! :)

I've already been to the site! :) Are you going to post only Chapter 1 here or are you going to post other chapters eventually, but perhaps at a slower pace or something?

@andygrail: Ah, I assumed the "wake-up call" part was a metaphor, got it!

@andygrail: Ooh, I like this - like an tv show opening! I often find attempts to make comics look more like television wonky (like songs in comics) but you made it work here!

@Oly-RRR: On page 16: The body was taken out of the wall behind the shower of Cain's beach house. He did the renovation himself. I guess that is enough to assume that Cain did it (now, they also have the gun and can get the projective from the corpse). There is also a little bit more about the decay of the body behind the wall (it was moist behind there and that sped up the decay) in chapter 2 of the story. If you are interested, visit my website www.andygrail.com to find out how to purchase the first 3 chapters in their uncensored version - Chapter 1 is inclueded for free by the way.
