Resources
It helps to have resources...
Advantage
Now here's something we have not touched on with Kalwa that I thought would be real cool. Since Kalwa is going after a historical figure for the first time, she can actually use future resources such as the internet to find out about her target. Instant detective work to get her caught up, part of the advantage to having a time traveling phone.
A new quest is about to begin for this arch!!

This is so good.
Mature
So yes now we're in a difficult place. In real life, the Ripper wasn't just a killer, he was a savage murderer who completely mangled his victims in the most graphic and violent ways. We're kinda now in that position where we have to work with the crimes and try to avoid getting this comic into the mature section. So we're trying to use shadow and black and white blood to try and convey violent murders without going to far.
What lies beyond the door?
You'll all find out next week.
Medicine
Those who always dreamed off being in 1800 England, remember, more primitive medicine... and pain...
The perfect killer
Remember everyone, the Ripper may be gone for now, but just like Freddy and Jason, he'll be back... MANY TIMES!!!!
Outfought
Yep, Kalwa's finally met someone who can easily outfight her.
Re-DRAW
This was a more frustrating page to draw, the last two panels went through two redraws each as I had a lot of trouble deciding which camera angle and point of view to use. I did at least two redraws on Tuesday right up to the final inking, I finally got out my action figures to get the final shot down...
THE RIPPER STRIKES!!!
Alone in the dark
Not a good place for a young girl to be in unknown land, who knows what's lurking in the shadows...
Horror
The first step to every great horror story, is setting the mood with atmosphere...
Budget Saver
I got slightly lazy with a little detail here. My co-writer wrote in some new scenes featuring "faded" images of characters based on a situation (such as Kalwa remembering Zack). But rather than do the extra work and draw fresh images, I just decided to just decided to cut and paste images from Chapter 15. Hey at least I expanded it to fit the panel...
Whew
Hope I can keep this up. From the very beginning of planning this arch, I wanted this arch to look and feel like a horror movie, meaning lots of dark shading and detailing. I CAN do it, but it takes much longer than than other pages, fortunately I had the day off today. Maybe I'll just reserve these shadings for the night time scenes.
