The Legend of Zelda - Book of the Traitor

Thousands of years after the fall of Hyrule, in the recovering postwar cities of New Ordon, new heroes arise to defeat the remnants of the lost kingdom's dark past, as well as that of their own. The cycle of good vs. evil continues, but as is always true in war, the line between them blurs...
Book of the Traitor - a study in destiny, identity, and the line between good and evil.

---------------

This is a Legend of Zelda fancomic that takes place in a rough equivalent of the modern day circa 1980's-1990's, following Twilight Princess' and Breath of the Wild's continuity, as interpreted by the writer. It also accepts certain fan-theories as true.

@mischievousart: I think I see timeskipping shenanigans happening all over - Chapter 1 takes place well after Chapter 2, but this coda to chapter 2 takes place after Chapter 1 since Ravio's there... eh, as long as I can keep it straight and you and the writer can keep it straight, no problems.

@Guest: Nope, different cabin. Note that it's in the middle of a wooded area rather than out on the beach.

This is the same cabin where a bloody brawl occurs. The question is whether or not clone!Link is the perpetrator, or if he's the one dying in the bed?

Woo words in brackets like <thought speak> from Animorphs. Unrelated but fond memories.

What, only one surface-to-air-missle site? Easily destroyed by a single chopper missile? Nice oversight. Dumbass.

That moment when Sheik breaks the fourth wall due to confusion

Reusing a very old joke from Nintendo Power, from when Ocarina of Time was still in development, they need to go buy a Linkoln.

I love how they go from mildly annoyed and defensive to genuinely happy that Sheik is so accepting and non-judgmental.

@CoGDork: Yep. If you look back on page 72, Sheik's "I can see you care deeply for the prince" is him doing the "His Highness is clearly in a couple with another man, so I better be diplomatic" thing.

I love that Sheik doesn't judge. Just a mild surprise at, "Oh, so that's actually legal now? Huh."
Ah, you gotta love a "you can do that" reaction

Oh, Link, you poor fool. Don't you know that nothing good ever happens to people who Jumped at the Call?

Seeing a car there made me remember an old Nintendo Power joke about Ocarina of Time. They noted that Hyrule was so large that Link would have some type of vehicle to travel on - maybe a Linkoln.
@Xylas_Incarnum: Hecanoning so hard they're related to Happy Mask Salesman thanks to your comment.

Not sure how I missed these last few pages but man, this one in particular is quite gorgeous! (Then again they all are, haha, but... o;
I really like this one, especially. The detail of the little garden in the bottom left is cute, too)

That almost has to be the Happy Mask Saleswoman... I see why she's "very fun to draw", as her face and her body language are so strong and expressive.
