@Teleperion: The Monterey Bay Aquarium is one of my favorites and as you can probably tell from the comic, I am a huge fan of aquariums! This is actually modeled after the Aquarium of the Pacific which is closer to me and though it is not as grand, it actually has similar tank set ups to Monterey!

I am very glad that these comics were able to help you out even a little! That's my intention with comics and all I continue to hope for!
Would this happen to have been inspired by the Monterey Bay Aquarium? There's a couple tanks here that seem very familiar. (It's my favorite aquarium)
Also, thank you for making these comics! It's so rare to find comfort and solidarity in being nonbinary in a gendered culture, and these are really lovely.

@songfish: A part of me was worried that people might not understand it. It's not as straight forward as the other two GQ comics. However, you hit it spot on! I'm very glad you enjoyed it!

@songfish: I was very happy with how the comic came out, artistically. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

@wandering: Thank you for the sweet comment. I'm glad that the comic brought you some comfort. That's all I could hope for, when making this series!

Your metaphor was just lovely. Thank you so much.

I really like the star metaphory thing, the feeling that the star came to earth without a gender, and coloured themself up with clothing, but that that didn't change their genderlessness. Ah, so much love for this comic.

I never thought about aquaria like that, what a fascinating way to look at it! You really captured the aquarium-atmosphere I think, with the colouring.

Wow
Wow, this comic is just what I needed tonight. Yes, people might not see us, but that doesn't mean that we can't exist!

Thank you for putting your beautiful comics out there, and thank you for the positivity in them. Your art is really soothing somehow, like a room full of friends.
(Sorry for the weird metaphor, it's late and I have feels *-*)

@Azile: Hey! Thanks again so much for all the nice comments and support you always leave on my comics. It means the world to me. I'm glad you were able to pinpoint all these details that I worked hard on including. I'm so happy that you enjoyed it!

Starsend is a bit different from the other two. A friend helped me with the initial conceptualization. It focuses on an agender character trying to traverse our gendered world.

That's all, folks! This collection was my attempt at making several uplifting and empowering genderqueer related short comics. It will be available for purchase in physical form in September! Thanks for reading!

@Azile: The aquarium is my favorite place! I thought of this one when I went to the aquarium on my birthday. I'm really glad it resonated with you!

Fishies! I love the aquarium. For reasons other than this, but this is a great reason to love aquariums and fish. I love the analogy- the strange and wonderful sea creatures mirroring the myriad of possible variation in people. I like the feeling of water everywhere in this one. And the coming across of one's self as a reflection, just there, waiting. This is lovely. I like the commentary, the words are really great here.

Seals!
I love these seal panels, I liked them when I saw the preview and I like them now. Their expressions are so seal-y!

Second panel
Also, just a comment on the second panel on this page, because it deserves a comment. It's simple, clear, and beautiful. It shows us the temperature (the puff of breathe, which is amazing), the atmosphere (that smile), and the sense of achievement (the pause to smile), the sense of the end of a shift (tired but satisfied). Brilliant.

I don't really have a comment here. This one makes me sad, for reasons beyond the comic. I love the story and the art, as usual. The art is really nice here, the colouring and light changes, and I like the story being happy (as usual, again, you're a total star). I loved the views of the character's face. And how happy and confident their body language is. You convey so much. I love this one a whole lot, a huge amount. Thank you for this.

@spitfire-productions: Thanks for the comment! It's basically what I was going for with these set of comics. There's very little positive media in regards to genderqueer individuals. Next week's comic is trans related, the one in two weeks is agender. I hope those are able to resonate positively with you as well!
This makes me so happy tbh omg. I'm agender/genderfluid myself and I've always had a hard time being happy with who I am. Whenever there's something about trans people in the media it is ALWAYS negative. So nice to see something positive for once.
