Jenna's Blog

by mandalorianjedi
Jenna just wants to be popular, so she started her own Youtube channel. The problem is that she has no idea what she's doing.
Join us as we watch her embarrass herself continuously while she still can't decide what her channel will be about, yet is still certain she will be famous for it.

Updated every Tuesday and Friday.

Reader's discretion is advised due to mild nudity, depictions of sexuality, and minor LGBT themed content (if that bothers you).

@MiGpilot25: That makes about as much sense as North Americans saying they speak English. They speak an evolved and localized version of English, but still claim that it's English. Much like how the Imperial system has evolved, but still claim it's the Imperial system. Arguing semantics aren't going to somehow make the system any more logical since it's the very system being criticized, no matter what you want to call it. And the British Imperial units are now legally defined in metric terms, so despite the name, it's metric.
me again
Oh and I forgot to mention, the US doesn't use Imperial either, we use USCS, UNITED STATES CUSTOMARY UNITS,they have a common ancestor but there different, an example being I US gallon=.832674.
And Jenna's beloved homeland still uses Imperial, seriously have you never watched English TV or an English youtube channel where they say, "it weighs 8 stone?"

You know I told you this before, if you have a question about the US, just ask, we're happy to answer.
Technically we adopted the metric system back in 1866 and there were efforts on and off since then, particularly in the 1920's mid 1970's, to make it mandatory for all states to convert to it within 10 years it movement fizzled. The price tag involved with conversion is also not helping. But yeah the aerospace industry and the medical industry use it I believe, it's getting private companies and citizens to use too that's a problem.
When I was a kid they taught us about metric units in 2nd grade and then started showing us how to do conversions in 6th grade science and 8th grade physics, the hard part was remembering how many places the decimal went over when say converting from millimeters to decimeters.

I would like to point out not using the metric system didn't stop from us designing the SR71, the X15, or the Saturn V.

Food for thought.
I'm sure Jenna said she don't believe in multiverse on her Nobel lecture.
@Killsoty: If I did, it was in the universe where I did that before.
@Killsoty: If you mean a joke where Anwen makes a good point, then yes, he has made this joke before.

Why do I feel like you’ve made this joke before?

Now that i think about it, this comic USED to be about Jenna's blog...
@Plasmarift: I appreciate the feedback. Part of the problem with 2018 was that I've been burnt out with new kids and work. It's a miracle I even get these out twice a week as it is in my spare time. I've been coming up with ways to bring back the old format when I get more time, as well a using the side characters more.

Edit: I just stole your comment for the next comic.

feedback
I wanted to say that your most recent comics (like 2018) hadn't been as good as some of your older ones though some of your more recent comics (the past month or so) have been pretty good.

Two things I really liked about the old comics were the comments that would be left on the "blog" and, to a lesser extent, but still likable, Jenna's sister. Also, I liked it when Jenna attempted to include current trending stuff in her blog that people were into (like the ice bucket challenge). I could totally see Jenna trying or talking about the "Bird cage challenge".

That flew so far over her head she never saw it.
@EmilyAnnCoons: I'm aware the US is the only one that uses it. I was aiming directly at Canada in this case. And like Killsoty said, "bold words for someone within invasion distance". Though I'm not sure how we are going to measure the distance.
Or should I say: 6 milliards of people https://astroibrahim.files.wordpress.com/2013/01/trollface.jpg?w=154&h=154
@Plasmarift: Yes, a country of 300 million people... compared to the other 6 BILLION people that don't use the system... I mighthaps see a flaw there...
@mandalorianjedi: BOLD WORDS FOR SOMEONE WITHIN INVASION DISTANCE
@mandalorianjedi: True, only one country uses it, but that country is comprised of over 300 million people (ten times more people than you have). Besides, even kids in the US know the difference between a foot and a yard and you couldn't even get that right for a comic making fun of the system. My irony detector is going off.
Also it was not a real mathematician. The guy from Indiana who tried to make law that PI is 3.2 or some round number to make it possible to square a circle, wasn't a real mathematician. Prof. C.A. Waldo, who taught Senate some math ahead of the proposal to see how ridiculous that guy was, that was real mathematician. Real mathematicians are only crazy, not dumb.
