If it's a woollen jumper, he can play wolf in sheep's clothing :D

This is really nice! That or Blair just wants to have an identifiable thing to track Roy next time he loses his closes (ugh, I should put more trust in people than that). Roy's face though! ;A;

Good question, Roy, good question. And that bottom panel is really cool, both the angle and what you do with the details!!

Sometimes Roy likes to remind us that he does have the brain for his job ...but not the fortitude.

Blabbing your way through scary needle time is a pretty good method :D

Yes... Let the man who lied to you (and is continuing to lie to you) put syringes near your arm and draw your blood. Very wise.

Of course... There's not really much of a choice now is there.

"Sit" is such a dog command buuut then it's totally how doctors talk to patients. <:D

I really like how that darkness directs attention to that chair. And the last panel is just relatable. It's like one of those mornings I actually had.

A content warning for readers who are afraid of needles: as you might expect, the next page or two will show syringes. But, there will be NO depictions of needles anywhere near skin, and no detail shots of needles or blood.

Twitter is apparently suppressing tweets with external links (I don't have enough statistics to tell how true that is), but either way, please consider retweeting some of my update tweets for this comic, so that they can reach potential new readers instead of being lost in the void :D I'm @DerpTree on Twitter.

@Glueckskeks: Yeah, no, there are definitely good doctors, and half of the ones doing that are probably doing that because of the situation the systems puts them into rather than some active dislike of patients but stiiiill, this is a common experience.

Somewhat relevant but in psychiatry there's also this belief that it's better to lie than to risk the possibility of freaking the patient out. I think it's kind of what is going on here, though Blair is doing it to avoid fuss rather than for Roy's benefit.

I'm way less anti-doctors than I used to be but don't get me started on doctors. ._.

@Oly-RRR: I felt a bit bad about posting this comment because there are good doctors out there. But looks like this kind of experience is a bit too common...

LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE
It's really hard not to hate Blair right now - I've been in Roy's shoes. Well, without turning into a skow but still. This hits close to home, and that's good writing.

I also love how Roy's hair got more messy.

A patient comes with a serious concern and he insists it's all just stress. Finally, Blair is being a proper doctor :')

Love the style
I'm loving this story, especially your use of B&W; it's very sharp and fits the atmosphere very well.

Ok, an unlikely theory: people don’t turn into skows, so Roy has always been one; but previous to yesterday, he was somehow being administered silver by Blair.

... or maybe all the sleepless nights were something other than what we’ve been lead to believe?
