Roland Sheppard, a laid-back 20 year old from Dewford in the Hoenn region, has just passed his trainer certification in Pallet along with his classmates. Now he and the others can pursue the League challenge in Kanto, but things aren't as easy as he thinks they will be, especially when he announces to his soon-to-be rival that he will only be using Water-type Pokemon. (And blue Pokemon. But same thing, right?)

Eeee, new page! And we get to see Brock! Huzzah! :D

Those fossil pokemon look like seasoned fighters- I am so psyched to see how this proceeds!
@Briarlight's Wish: Omanyte is actually an Omastar. c:
@Mystic Fire: Omanyte and Kabutops
@A Quiet Reader: Do you mean all of the names? That was me mostly browsing baby name sites. Nameberry was especially helpful with their scrolling bar they have up at the top with random names.
What Pokemon are those?
I have no doubt that these are all good sounds.

So where DID you get them from?
@ZHODY the delfinator: That's a great idea! Unfortunately I needed 48 names on pretty short notice... I guess it's possible that it could happen sometime in the future, though!
@malektorche: In that case, let's hope that the same advantage applies to Roland and BB. :D
@WriterRaven: He's such a show-off.
My immediate thought was "list of patrons", then I actually read the comic. Still think that tho.
its not hard when u got type advantage fam.
Geez Gary won in two moves? Impressive
Whatever you say, Roland.

Next update is this Friday! I'm going try out Tuesday/Friday updates this chapter.

Also, in case you want to get your votes in, the Extravaganza ends this Friday! There are a ton of good runs to vote for, so be sure to check out the thread!

@GrinningWolf24: I'm really happy to hear that! To be honest, I see a lot of myself in Gary, as well, so I'm grateful that other people can empathize with him.

And I'm glad you like the comic! ;u;
@GrinningWolf24: That's exactly right! That's the biggest reason Roland gets on his nerves so much.

And thanks for reading!
Woo! Caught up! ^^ Can't wait to see this story when it continues~

Also, oh no, Gary!!
(By the way, your version of Gary is probably one of the few that I actually can empathize with. I see a lot of my past self in him, being a fellow hard-core book nerd with an impulsive nature. I'm super interested to see how he grows as a character!)
Waaaay late, but being a new reader just had to say it- I really would never have pegged Gary as a fellow book nerd! I like the twist- his high score isn't because of talent or luck; it's hard-earned research and dedication! No wonder he was so upset- he pours in a ton of time and effort to do well, then gets shown up by some guy from Hoenn who probably didn't study and just has the natural talent to beat him.

I will definitely be sticking around to read the rest of this~ I promise to be caught up soon! ^^
@UrbanShugenja: That's correct! Good job! : )
Gary?
@Anonymoose: Kind of looks like Garys wallet the wrist one.
