To be updated on Fridays (Saturday 6 a.m. is still Friday if I say so).

An earlier version of (the beginning of) this comic can be seen on my somewhat mummified DeviantArt account. I thought about deleting it, but, nah.

And, recent file type experimentation must be the source of sudden interesting pixelation. Well, I've made the decision to switch the text into handwriting and planned my method for it, so updates to follow at some point.

Apparently I'd better start using the preset release date feature if I'm going to have more intense weekends like the last one...

All right, I learned some more about managing the text. I returned to the same problem I've had before, along with some other people: the tool options box had gone missing. Got it to appear on the upper toolbar, only there it wasn't called tool options, but something else like tool settings or presets... and when you put it back to the dockers, it was called tool options again. Damn Krita, I like you still but you're really weird at times.

I've just encountered what may have been the first incompatibility problem with my Win10 laptop (OK I hazily remember some issues with my phone and they also appeared to be related to the USB ports rather than software); it just couldn't deal with this other scanner I had at hand while not at home. Well, got it to work in a roundabout way eventually.

The last time I browsed for fonts, I was happy to discover several new ones I liked that also had lowercase letters and other handy markings available (the ones visible so far are GoodDog Plain, Gapstown AH, and CreativeBlock BB). Still... I'm starting to seriously consider hand-lettering my translations as well. It's beginning to seem like less trouble than a) finding fonts I like and then also getting them to work the way I want them to or b) learning to use a font-creator programme and making my own. There may also (very likely) be easier ways to do this I haven't got around to figuring out yet, such as getting Krita to recognise which default fonts I want to use: NO I STILL DON'T WANT TO LETTER MY COMIC WITH ARIAL THANK YOU FOR NOT ASKING.

"My name is Moira and I am mentally very stable."

Today marks the day I learned to use Krita's version of clone brush. In a very ugly way, but it can only go up from here.
