CREEEEMA!!!
ALL THESE QUESTIONS WILL BE ANSWERED IN A FEW MINUTES (lol)
@Ian Evans: I dunno man, we are talking about violence as a characteristic. If I'm under attack and I punch my attacker in the face to get him off of me, at least in my opinion, I don't think that would qualify me as a violent person. I think someone with violent intentions that they then act upon with violent impulses would qualify. But as I was saying earlier, I don't think there is a right answer for this. :/ So I'll wait for some wisdom as well.
@artofjoe: I disagree, violence is violence regardless of what it is meant to accomplish. Yeah, you are probably right to assume that it was against her inclination to be violent... at least at first. But some characters, and people in real life never resort to violence, even when pushed to their limits.
If Joan of Arc were on the scale, she'd probably be more towards the center on the violence/peace axis, if I interpret the chart correctly

That's my take on it at least, I'd like to hear Flabs' abounding wisdom on the subject.
@Ian Evans: Well, I'd argue against Joan of Arc being a violent character. She was a warrior, sure. But being in violent circumstances and having violence as a characteristic are two very different things. I don't think fighting was a part of who she was as a person at all. I guess a peaceful evil could perhaps be someone like the Count of Monte Cristo. :/ But then again, I'm sure I could make a case against him.
There are plenty of "violent-good" character types, especially in super hero comics. Even historically we can look at someone like Joan of Arc or a modern example, Abu Azrael.

It is interesting to think of a "peaceful-evil" character. Perhaps it is someone that has their core belief system based in what is being defined as evil by the author yet is trying to accomplish their goals through peaceful means, ie diplomacy or within the law. Although I can't think of any characters off the top of my head like this... maybe Daisy Buchannon from Great Gatsby but that's pushing it because morality in that book is only defined through its narrator
There might not be a right answer to this, but I'd still like to hear what you come up with.

Hey people! I didn't have enough time to go into the other details that make up a character (due to personal stuff), but I will in a few days!
