The Legend of Zelda: Guardian Story

by Heathcliff791
The Legend of Zelda: Guardian Story is a (relatively) fun, lighthearted Zelda fan comic that's inspired by the old school stuff; NES, SNES, OoT, and even the old 80s cartoon.

Link, the assistant to the Hyrule Guardian of the Forest, meets a young girl in the woods who he discovers is the Princess Zelda. With a runaway princess on his hands, an uncooperative fairy, and .. career issues, he has a lot more on his plate than he bargained for.

@Heathcliff791: Hey, jokes are what makes it a comic.

God I love this Link.
I know its kind of another gag comic, but I wanted to tie in the last page with one last joke! I promise the plot'll start moving more over the next few pages!

@Heathcliff791: Hey, thanks for taking a look at it, haha. :) If you ever have any tips, just let me know! I really like your stuff, so I'd definitely consider any advice.
@Heathcliff791: ey s'all good, I can reconcile it pretty easily haha. just wanted to make sure I hadn't missed anything, just in case~
@Captain Ghost:

Oops, sorry for the continuity issue! I guess I thought the idea being that since the arch fell through, they end up just having to find the pieces on the bottom of the lake... of which the hieroglyphs or whatever are conveniently not facing downward, or broken apart... yeah, its not complete realism thats for sure lol
@artofjoe:

LOL from first comment.

Thanks! They've come slowly. It can be tough to get a following when you can't really add on comics a set schedule like me.

Also, I like your comic a lot! You have a lot of great voices going on in it. If your comic doesn't fit into a neat little box, it is tougher to get fans, but.... its still better than changing what you do just cause you see what other people are following, amiright? ;)
This is a really cute page!

I'm a little puzzled though re. how they went from needing a mirror to suddenly hylian text underwater. Did I miss something or is it simply a time skip? =o
Just some physical comedy! It was fun to give the fish a personality and all that. I've never actually been drawn to drawing animals that much so anything from trying to draw a realistic horse to something cartoony like this is a real lesson for me.

Also, congrats on getting over 20 fans!
I dunno how long you've had that many, but that's a pretty good achievement. I hope my main comic gets that many sometime soon.

That was a neat little story arch, I mean arc.
Soo.. thats my first puzzle/riddle/whatever! Sorry if it didn't make perfect sense, I enjoy puzzles but writing them is not something I've actually done before lol. Anyways, it doesn't matter cause the arch fell through HAHA!

There's going to be some serious excusing for that princess.
@lemnlime:

I love the peanuts!

LOL If I could draw with as much style as Schultz (seriously, so envious of his inking before his stroke. It had so much style and cleanness but still emotion) I might do this entire comic like that way!
So Link wasn't exactly right, but he was on the right track. This was a fun page to draw, although I'm concerned it doesn't read super clear so please say so if you're not sure what went down lol

I can't get over how much Zelda looks like a Peanuts character in the 3rd panel
@Hero of Comedy:

Yep :) Must be all that unsupervised play time as a kid, although its surprising he's still alive actually. lol

Link's a master at thinking outside the box.

Sorry for being MIA, guys!

Someone left unexpectedly at work, and so I've had a crazy schedule the last weeks.

Anyway, the journey continues!
