A Modest Proposal

by vloshry
This is a comic version of my very good friend/manager David Gunther's proposal to his now fiancee, Christina Motley.

David actually rented out a mini golf course, wrote out a script, choreographed martial arts fight scenes, made real-life video game props, and made the proposal a real-life video game fantasy experience. (There was fire and everything)

He got a bunch of his martial arts friends including me, co-workers, and even a 9-year blue-belt to act everything out.

There is a recording of the proposal that isn't out yet but here is the comic version. Obviously, the things in this comic are exaggerated a little.

To David and Christina, here's your comic, I love you both. You guys are the funnest couple ever and have always been there for me whether it was professionally or personally. Congrats on your recent engagement!

Also the comic is pretty poorly drawn.

@Spirit of Water:

thank you so much!

I'm glad you get it. Because, not to toot my own horn, but I know the content is good (or at least good-ish). But to most people these drawings are incomplete and "bad".

I try to engage people in the story as much as possible so that they don't notice the sketchy doodly style.

Thanks so much for the feedback! I'm glad there are people out there who get the idea behind it!

I don't think that this was poorly drawn at all. Rather, the artwork is consistent, you have good narrative direction in the camera angles, and good pacing of the story. The fight scenes are also well done.

This is a beautiful piece. I absolutely loved it. Kudos on great work! :)

This must have been quite a production in real life... Congrats to all the participants, and blessings on the soon-to-be wedded! :D
