Pearls Before SW1N3 - Steven Universe Fancomic

Pearls Before SW1N3 - Steven Universe Fancomic

by TheChekhov
It was once written in an ancient book about Earth: "Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces."

But that was before we came. That was before we knew S W 1 N 3 as earth. That was before the Rebellion, and before the fall of a Diamond.

This story is a Steven Universe fancomic - completely built around fan-theory and spoiler-free. It centers around Pink Diamond's colony on earth and covers the story of a Rose Quartz and a Pearl, who coincidentally began the Rebellion that we now know of.

@J Bart: I have 30 pages of backup and my decision to post the first seven pages quickly was a premeditated one based on the fact that more people would get interested in the story if there was MORE to the story they could see in the beginning. If you come to my page in a week, it will have 7 pages, which is a rational hook. If I posted according to your suggestion, it would only have 1-2 pages at that point and many people might not check back again, having not found it interesting enough at that point. I am not planning to keep up the pace; I will space out the later pages to give myself more time.

That being said, dude, I understand you're trying to help but please trust the makers of the comics a little more. Many times they are people with real lives and hiatuses and long spaces are NOT something they want either. They have jobs, families, and emergencies that make a schedule difficult. This is all things they release for free, for other people's consumption. It's not their job, and they're not under any obligation to cater to someone's preferences. Is holding them to the same schedule standards as a well-funded publishing company REALLY a priority?

An Innocent Question...
It seems you want to leave a page a day.
Do you have the comic finished already?
I ask because if it is finished already, then the current pace is perfect.
If it ain't finished already, and you have a lot more pages ahead of you, you might want to slow down the releases so that the individual gap between releases are not terrible.

I am not trying to force any decision.
I am just saying that I personally do not like waiting a whole month for a new page.
If spacing out the releases helps you release more frequently then I would encourage you.

Comic looks great so far, and I look forward with what you do with it.

this is literally the peak of my comic career, this page right here. I've never been more satisfied with a page. It's downhill from here, folks.

just kidding, keep reading.

alright let's do this
Hey guys, it's my first time posting on SmackJeeves and I'm pretty lost but I'll do my best to make this interesting.

If you wanna get in touch with me it's probably better to do so through tumblr - my blog is thechekhov.tumblr.com.

I've got about 30 pages of this backlogged and I'll just keep posting em as much as I can!
