Rated PG-13 for moments of violence and some rare but graphically bloody imagery.

Misty Pridetail is just trying to live a normal life here in a universe of near immortals. A golden age of prosperity where everything is free, and permanent death can be avoided with a mere choice. It's paradise. But one day, all that changes when a weird alien named Starlight shows up, and brings with her a change that no one is prepared for...

Too young ?
@Ulta:

Oh what !!! Someone not knowing this ref ? How old he's ? ^_^"
@a_shipper: You mean the text that you see when you hover the cursor over the page? Nope that's a Star Trek ref =)
the alt text
was it an antman reference
@Sulferon: I WANT ALL THE EXPLOSIONS
@VickypediaCottonstar: Thank you ^^ I hope you'll keep up with it as it continues =D
YOU KNOW WHAT TZEENCH WANTS!!! KABOOM!!!! CROSSING FINGERS FOR THIS!!...
Oh wow I started reading today and just caught up. I really like how unique this world and story is
@Ulta: Illegal black-market trade in fake/cloned/inferior knock-off comlinks...? Just a thought. It's one of life's rules: If it exists there will be a criminal exploitation of it! That law doesn't seem to exist, but it ought to!
That's not fair
@Ulta:

The levifin has made it intentionally to avoid to confirm my theory XD
@kome: I like Chrystal's guess but the real reason for why the comlink needs to know that info is to legally use the portal system. You'll see more details in Chapter 3 on how that actually plays into it =)

Khan was mostly talking about the everyday shmo can't access anything. But authorities CAN use it in certain legal matters, kinda like how a lot of legal things like taxes and job places need your social security number. It's to help prove it's YOU, and not someone else.
@kome: possibly so that if you die, they can rebuild you as an exact replica of you, and feed all that important information back into the DPU, so that you know who you are!
@Ulta: Oh, yeah... *facepalm*
Question: Why does it store your personal information if nobody else can access it?

Totally not a personal surveillance camera which you maintain for the government's benefit, nope.
@Panther: lol true. But I doubt either of them would call her a god. One calls her weird, the other...is DEAD so we'll never know lol
Witnesses
@Ulta:

Just a normal little creature ........ Ow , yes . Maybe ask to the gravicore and the levifin what it thinks about ? ^_^"
@Chrystal: Having a way to explore the universe effectively DOES help quell that problem to some degree (easier to find more space to house all these bodies). DPU immortality is actually relatively new, so this mass explosion in population isn't quite there yet.

But you are correct. That IS gonna be an issue~ Unless a certain somebodies have something in mind to cure it...
@AndreTheLugia: In all essense, there is no REASON for Misty to be worried. She and her mom have gone through this syncing process before, all it doe sis make you feel a little weird during it.

Nah Misty is worried for other reasons, though they stem from the syncing process so it's not entirely out of context. Later on you'll probably guess why she looks how she does here.
@dracone: There's a lot more than worry on Misty's face imo XD She's got a lot on her mind right now, this syncing process isn't something she looks at with excited eyes like most.
@Panther: Star a god? Geezes that's a wild theory there! Starlight is just a normal little creature surely!
