@Ulta: Awww. I'm now heartbroken! There I was shipping Misty and Starlight in my head. Oh well...
this can only end well

and by well, i mean terribly

and by end, i mean begin
@dracone: Sure seems it doesn't it?
I take it, Diva and Misty have some history
@Chrystal: I sure hope you didn't forget about Starlight ^^; I was worried that the intro to Misty was going to overshadow her. Glad to see it didn't XD

And Misty is straight (funny enough), so no Diva wasn't an ex. =P
So, I take it that's Misty's ex? Or soon to be ex...

Assuming at some point Misty and Starlight are going to meet up... (You thought we'd all forgotten about Starlight, didn't you?)
I think the text blurb for this page sums up my thoughts nicely for it heh.
She knowz
@Ulta: Lets just say she knows what she knows. LOL :P
@Ulta: @Anna Rei: Hee hee. Sorry. I couldn't resist it.
@Chrystal: Hold on, I'll answer once my brain reboots.
@Anna Rei: What you think and what you think you think are not always the same as what you know you think. Equally what you know, and what you know you know could well be different to what you think you know. This begs the question, what if what you think you know is different from what you know you think? Does that mean what you think you know you know and what you know you think you know are the same or different?

You know?
Yeah
I was thinking she was think. Yeah that is what you think, but I know better.
@NeonUmbreon: If foreshadowing loves grinning then sure! XD
@dracone: Oh no, trust me, I love it when readers do that. and what you'd deduced is so accurate! I love it =)
is that... foreshadowing is see???
@Ulta: true. But you just said yourself, Misty one of those old guard type competitors, the newer racers are used to seeing rules that allow you to mess with your opponent in a more aggressive way. If you'll recall, all her competitors almost went out of their way to purposefully damage the other racers while still remaining in the bounds of the current rules.

They're far more physically oriented when it comes to taking out their competition, Misty's approach is much more nuanced. From what I could see, her approach is to mess with heads of her opponents, attack them psychologically so that their overall performance becomes compromised.

But then again, I might be reading a bit too much into it.
@Chrystal: XD I was thinking the same thing when making this.
@dracone: Misty got into the sport many years ago when it was forbidden to even touch another racer though. She isn't the person to enjoy carnage, and I doubt her sweet mom would really encourage purposeful rough-housing. Her racing style wasn't very aggressive during the race, outside of smooshing Gyra's hovercycle of course. But she deserved it!
Sneaky people sneak sneakily...,

My initial reaction to Kali's comment about no one deliberately wanting to hurt her was "You want a bet?"
That's debatable, some people get into the highly aggressive sports that involve "roughing up" other players because they purposely want to hurt others. Mostly because they can get away with that sort of thing, especially if the crowd seems to get excited by carnage.
