Carbon Copy

Carbon Copy

by Daz Keaty
Ten years ago there was an event that changed the way people now view the world, an event known as the Demon Rip - a massive demon invasion that resulted in over one billion casualties across the globe. Though the initial attack was quelled, the fact that demons existed was evident and history was forever altered.

A united group of nations from this new world known as the Demon Federation aided in stopping the attack. Since then, they have been trying to create a stable Human-Demon relations, though humanity cannot forget about the horrific attack that day.

The Carbon Copy group, founded and lead by Kally Aria, is one of many branches of the Demon Federation - though they follow the regulations set up by their Federation, they operate freely and independently. They specialize in demon hunting and exterminating any such demonic creatures or acts that seek to unbalance the already frail bond between humans and demons.

@Stanger7: That was way back in page 156.

There's no connection between the stories. This is just a Bit that me and my brother used to do that I always enjoyed. It's probably not the last time you'll ever see it. :P

I know those words
Even the colors of the words match
"Is your coffee..."
I love things like that, what page of game cafe was that?
Out of curiosity, is there any connection between this story and The Gamer Cafe?
Back cover.
Contact information and little details about moi, ze arthor. Will probably fit one of these at the end of every chapter, just to be safe.
Some little details about changes I made, but I've gone over most of these in the comment section.
This bonus page was mostly to keep the comic in multiples of 4 for printing purposes.
Yes, this will be on the test.
Bonus content about the Salamancers that appeared in this chapter. Just a bit of excess homework if you feel inclined to read it.
. . .
Although Spindel is a bit of a flirt and a tease, I wanted to show that she does have a strategic mindset. Much like how earlier in the chapter she was talking about staying outdoors to they would have an advantage in the fight (Advice Kally followed, by the way), I wanted a scene where she analysis the group's combat positions and how Wrath compliments them.

At the end of the day, she is an experienced fighter.

Also pouty Cyborg is pouty.
Demon brain junk is the WORST to get off your shoe.
Headshot. \o/

DRAW!
A lot of these pages were designed to be face pages with even numbered pages being on the left. This page and the last were made together to show a contrast between Wrath's harsh red and Barry's softer blues.

The final panel was tweaked because I didn't like the original pose I drew, since it had Wrath's face partially obstructed. I wanted him swinging the red lightning attack with both hands to show a difference in power, but the second pose was visually better.

Sarne can sympathize.

Minor fix on Wrath's body position. Just didn't like the first.

This page went through quite a few changes while I was making it. It started off as 5 panels, then 6, then 7, a couple of panels changed completely, while some went through a couple of minor edits. I don't think I can go through them all, but this was probably one of the more challenging pages to nail down.

Wrath doesn't smile a whole lot. But when he does,

Something's gon' die.

Action scene!

After doing a casual, slice of life webcomic for the last four years I was a little nervous about fight scenes, but I am quite pleased with this page. Especially the first and last panels.
Some jobs have you running to make coffee for your boss, some have you smearing blood on a golden shield to draw out savage demons, then you have those poor bastards in retail...
Tonight, on Crime Scene Carbon Copy
It looks like the summoners...

*Sunglasses*

Were for Desert.

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAH

I wanted to show Carbon Copy actually doing some investigation and research into the illegal portal created and some of the process that goes into working for the DF. Again, something we'll go into at a later chapter.
