Sableer: Origins

Sableer: Origins

by Rendousskee
A look into the fantasy world of Sableer, and how the tribe systems began.

Sableer's are unique creatures from another world, but all with characteristics similar to an equine. When their peaceful but divided eco-system is turned upside down a few unprepared individuals have to force themselves to work together and restore order, but even if they do, things will never be the same.

(Not So) Small Suggestion
I'm not that good of an artist, especially in comparison to you, but I do really like the art and shading here! The backgrounds are pretty neat, too. However, the form of small highlights on the black equine slightly irk me; that might just be me, but my eyes go to them instead of any of the parts that I should be focusing on such as the face or tail. There's just no buildup to it, so it's kinda sudden and dramatic. If you don't mind my suggestion(I can't tell if you're already doing it or not, my computer's brightness is stuck at 25%), you could color the black equine a dark dark blue rather than a pure grey/black and thus be able to shade it much easier. At least, in my experience anyways. Plus, shading tends to take on the color of the scene around it; try holding your hand near something blue, and it'll have a blue shadow. While if you hold your hand near something brown, it'll have a brown shadow. It's a subtle effect, but it is practice of how light works and how the color of the shade you use(typically you shouldn't use straight black, but that's just my experience and you might be able to work it better then I can) on the actual figures. Either that color, or simply use a darkened color of the lineart in order to keep up consistency in the characters; this is the simpler way I personally prefer myself.

Either way, I'd love to see more of this! Have a nice day.

New art this page. Haven't drawn much, so my style hasn't really improved. However I will be open to constructive criticism, if there is something you want changing.
