Pushing the Limits: a Soul Silver Nuzlocke

A Homeless Child named Charlie gets roped into a pokemon journey by a rowdy Cyndaquil, can he survive the trials set before him?

---

This is a sketch comic set in the same universe as "A Spark of Brilliance", though very little will likely be referenced

Catch Count: 6/6
Looky here, I finally updated this comic after way too long

Here we finally meet the rest of the Teammates (including the one I boxed even though I spent all that time evolving him early), bypassing a lot of the in-game story elements and just getting to the meat of things. I consider the Primo Eggs fair game since A. the only requirement IS to get a password that you can easily access now with a website, and B. You'd be daft if I was going to pass up an easy Mareep. This ultimately meant I would pass up a chance at catching a Gastly early on and thus not having a Gengar later (Which I do admit was a bit of a missed opportunity), but hey, sometimes you gotta make sacrifices.

I'm getting Ryan Reynolds-as-Pikachu vibes from this Cyndaquil.

@Slimey Jenkins: Then it must be my timing or something, or the years we both searched around DA.

@Koal: No it isn't, Grass and Water types get chosen more there too

@Slimey Jenkins: I still say I've seen a lot of Nuzlockes pick fire type. If it's not the most picked, it's certainly the most common on DA though.

@Koal: and that's still nonsense, I've read a lot of Nuzlocke fiction over the years, the types are typically chosen most often are either Grass or Water types

this claim you're making has very little to no merit whatsoever

@Slimey Jenkins: I'm talking about as a whole from the many nuzlockes across all the genes of pokemon I've read on DA, not just gold/silver/crystal alone. The fire type gets picked either because its hard to get a fire type early in the game, or that its because fire types get higher attack/special attack than the others.

@Koal: the "Too many nuzlockes pick fire types" claim is nonsense, far more people picked Totodile as their starter in Johto runs for that first gym ice fang advantage that never becomes useful again until the 8th one.

oh, this is a unique start, although I would have preferred a non-fire type. No offense, I've seen too many nuzlockes who pick fire type.
Here we are finally, the first comic for Pushing the Limits. Unlike my other comic, this one will mainly be sketch only, but it will also be primarily a long comic

This comic takes place in the same universe as my other webcomic A Spark of Brilliance, but it's at an unspecified point in the timeline
Here are the rules for my Limitlocke, hopefully it's self-explanatory enough
This is a retooling of an old comic I have since discontinued due to me not finishing the run (as well as not really having a set plot for it), originally I was to re-run the Gen 2 games, but I preferred the remakes and the rules for this run made my game a lot more challenging. I haven't finished the run yet, however I am certain that I will for this one since grinding was made a LOT easier in the remake.
