Pokemon Perseverance

Pokemon Perseverance

by Akemi-Hoshi532
THIS COMIC READS RIGHT TO LEFT! STRONG LANGUAGE WARNING!

A Pokemon mini-manga (fan-fiction) project that involves cannon characters of the franchise, and two of my own fan-made ones Mizu and Kissa. I should note that Kissa actually was helped created by a dear friend of mine, so she herself isn't entirely my character.

Mizu, a girl from New Bark Town didn't start her Pokémon journey until she was 16, and three years after hard work, perseverance, adventure, she and her new found friend, Kissa, head to Mt. Silver after their triumph in the Pokémon league. There, she meets Red, and challenges the iconic silent trainer, not realizing he's the Kanto and Johto league champion. Through a tough battle, she's about to realize she had placed a greater impact on the world champion than intended and unknowingly is about to embark on a whole new adventure swirling with fun, growing affection, rivals, and an organization that threatens to rip her apart. Will she be able to handle the next feat? Or is after three rough years of being a Pokémon trainer enough to send her to the brink?

Why does Red talk?
@So Random Guy:

Simple answer: He is not the same Red he use to be.

Extended answer: This version of Red is no doubt inspired by the silent protagonist and League champion of the games I've played as a kid. However, in Perseverance this is my interpretation of said silent character. If you're confused, you should be as is my intention. The dots will connect the further the story progresses to understand why Red is much more vocal than his beloved icon.
One question, why does red talk?
Background Fact
Please note the background isn't actually mine. I edited the original from over here: https://www.deviantart.com/pharan/art/Anime-ish-background-study-66625235 Originally it was just going to serve as a template, but I fell in love with the composition, so I kept it.
