The Scribblings of Nib Mettaton

The Scribblings of Nib Mettaton

by jellyfishin
In a weird bout of caffeine-induced creative insomnia, a random Mettaton is reawakened as "Nib", and becomes an odd-ball outcode with no real purpose. Follow Nib-Mettaton's random (and often chaotic!) adventures as he travels through cyberspace to explore different timelines and alternate universes, all in the effort to enjoy musical creativity of the UnderTale fandom and, ultimately, discover and define the new version of himself.

*This comic is actually a collection of smaller stories, so you don't need to read from the beginning to catch-up. Each chapter is a new story, and each chapter is chronologically independent of each other (unless otherwise specified). Pick a chapter, any chapter, and start reading.

*Uploads by chapter/bulk.

@marshman101: I'll be definitely posting more in the future.

Since you're a new fan: I update in bulk and it usually takes me a while before the next story is installed, so don't despair if the comic doesn't seem active for intermittent long periods of time. It's worth the wait. :)
That was so cool/ I hope you make more.
@TailsDrawsJunk: Those panels were definitely the most fun to draw. I love ziznine's designs for this AU. :D
Oh, fooey, there's a glaring typo in Grillby's dialogue. Gonna have to fix that later when I'm at my computer.
I am in love with that top row of designs and especially with Undyne
I see the cameo. Box of stuff. ;3
@LKWayvern: yes, indeedy! I like to sneak in my avatar every once in a while (there's a less-obvious cameo in http://nib-mettaton.smackjeeves.com/comics/2740224/mirrored-memory-page-15/ if you missed it before and want to try and spot it).
@LKWayvern: yeah, I love ziznine69's interpretations for the other Swapfell-red characters (especially the Muffet in dreadlocks). It's a shame the other characters don't get as much fanart (although the Grillby version is somewhat popular in the Tumblr interwebz).
Huh. Kind of him.
Now now Napstaton, that's entirely too many arms. Most of us get along fine with just two. You have to learn to share arms, Napstaton, you can't just hoard them all for yourself.
Hooooooo boy that's straight outta a horror movie.
Amalgamates funtime?
I find releasing sandbags suitably theatrical, and hey, it's making use of the space.
Oh boy.
Grillby, please learn to quit while you're ahead.
I spy a jellyfish.
And that's a really nice crowd drawn, as well as a nice crowd in general.
Papyrus, beggars can't be choosers.

And I don't think I see Swapfell-Red designs(outside of the skelebros) enough because I really like the Undyne and Muffet designs...
Grillby what kind of money do you expect this small child to be making...?
Has there been a rhyming curse in Hotland? Is the toll meant to be in verse?
Sonderengel - Dragged into an unknown world, Nib encounters a tiny Mettaton who isn’t at all what he seems to be.

(*Note: there's a weird jump in artvquality between this chapter and the previous chapter because the old chapter was a redone version. Apologies for the art quality drop).
In case it's not clear, Nib basically undid the curtain sandbags to get them to fall on Grillby and his mafia cohorts, to raise up a plume of sand as make a quick getaway.

In hindsight, it probably would have been easier to draw Nib using a bomb as a smokescreen, but I'm too lazy to redo this page so I'm just going to pretend Nib didn't use one here because a bomb explosion would be too much.
