So many questions!
Carbon wasn't prepared for all these questions, haha.

Where is Occult Town? Well it's supposed to be in the Kanto Region, somewhere east of Fuchsia City. Maybe in the wooded area off Route 14.
Nice comic. Not many main characters are Ghost types
yeah that was odd.
whoa that was weird?

So many awkward silences!
Oh, and they finally introduce themselves in the comic. Yay? Though you'd probably already know their names if you read the comic summary, haha...

Also, random little detail: Fuyu's Shedinja arms are just like the arms of a Nincada and Ninjask. After all, a Shedinja is the shed shell of a Nincada evolving into a Ninjask.
Welp, that's an interesting way to meet someone. You scare them, they run off, you chase after, and they turn into an undead bug. Yep.
Me: where are these rules you speak of?
You: The're ghost rules you can't see them.
Yeah, ghosts aren't supposed to scare other ghosts! It's like... against ghost rules? Haha.
Quick Carbon, go catch that soul!

Past-me had a lot of trouble with that last panel's background. I think I've gained some experience with backgrounds since then.
Seems that Carbon's little "prank" didn't go over as well as he expected. ^^;

The next page will have slightly better backgrounds, I promise.
Well it's a graveyard after all, so it would make sense to see a restless soul or two floating around. I'd guess that only ghost pokemon and other souls/ghosts can see them though.
Oof, old art... But, now we know what the Ninja Festival is! You can even see the bonfire from the cemetery Carbon is at. It's just right outside of the town.

If you're still wondering why it isn't safe for a ghost, then think of it this way: If a ghost (or ghost pokemon) gets stuck in one of those Shedinja shells that are supposed to be burning in the bonfire.... Well, let's just say it's not exactly fun for that ghost. ^^;
I DID say that the first few pages are pretty bad artwise and... yeah, ugh, this is pretty painful to look back on. I think back when I made this page (in 2011!), I hadn't had much experience making my comics digitally on the computer, so I was still figuring out how lines and layers and stuff worked.

Maybe one day I'll redraw this page just to show how much I've improved? That'd be an interesting comparison. But I'd redraw only the first page; after all, if you restarted a comic series every time you became dissatisfied with older artwork, then you'd never make progress.
This is interesting!
On the night of the Ninja Festival, Carbon the Gastly accidentally meets a human soul trapped in a Shedinja shell...

This comic was started back in 2011, so the first several pages are... kind of bad, art-quality-wise. It improves pretty quickly over the first 10 pages, though.
