Time Gate: Reaper

Time Gate: Reaper

by Uzuki Cheverie
Many years ago, when Time Gate's first entry was written, it was nothing more than a diary - a pile of ideas, rantings and ravings at the hands of a disgruntled and bored time traveler. As it passed hands over the generations, gathering stories from adventurers, warriors, and demon hunters, it quickly grew into a compilation covering history over ten massive volumes.
As unexpected as the stories that came to be within the Time Gate was the small but devoted following it would attain through the power of the written word - ranging from children looking for new ghost stories to lost souls seeking enlightenment on the universe and its rules, and entirely lack thereof.
Today, these scriptures have been picked up and interpreted into a visual form, to create an even more immersive experience for the modern generation.

In the first book, Time Gate: Reaper focuses on the start and end of all things, through the eyes of a girl with a scar, and her inevitable relationship with a man bearing the promise of death - including her own - on his skin.

LOL
"You adorable little sleazy son of a bitch" As much as Uzuki could calm down in general she is just fantastic when she's pissed off >:D
@SantaFangFerrera: Yo, thanks for such a positive response! I've been sorta bummed about the reception on SmackJeeves so far so I'm really glad to see someone likes it haha Especially when it comes to the art style, I drew these pages going on 5 years ago now so my art style's improved quite a bit since then ;) (and it'll hopefully be fun for ya to see the progression as I upload pages haha)

Thanks again for the wonderful input, it keeps me drawing <3
This comic is AWESOME!
As a huge fan of magical call-to-destiny manga, I love how this comic plays on its tropes while including its own original touches. I find Uzuki SUPER relatable(Hates math? Check. Draws? Check. Bottom of the food chain? Check. Doesnt wear shoes? Check. Is an angry idiot goofball and has angry idiot goofball friends? CHECK) and the cast of characters is so colorful, I think my current favorite might be Mitsuhiro though. Even though he IS the good-looks edgy bad boy he genuinely helps out and protects Uzuki despite her animosity. Their hate-banter is honestly kinda cute >:D

I really like the art style too,, you actually use perspective and proportions with your characters, like they've actually got 3d bodies with weight on them lol! I have a huge bias for semirealism which really bugs me when I read manga, and you blend it really well with chibi expressions for comedic effect(I WANNA SEE THE SWEAT IN YOUR *** FOLDS had me rolling oml) ANYWAYS IM SUPER INTO THIS, cant wait for more info to be revealed on the angels!
Volume 1 opens with the beginning and end of all things.
