Webcomic Profile: The Nightmare Before Christmas The Pumpkin Prince
Description
Twas a long time ago, longer now than it seems,
In a place that perhaps you have seen in your dreams;
For the story that is about to unfurl,
is about how the Boogie Man came to our world,
Now, you probably wonder how this came around,
It all started, one day, in Halloween Town...

Fantastic
I loved that whole work.
And I believe with an elaborative script and newer songs with of course classic reprises, you've actually got a fair sequel on your hands.
My only problem is the visual design on Zach.
It seems like he could have a few other features from his mother other than the fact that he has hair.
Predominantly in his clothes.
Like perhaps if he were to wear an undershirt that resembled sally's patchwork dress.
Or if his clothes were more like unto Sally's as a whole (Whereas he's taken up more of Sally's previous role as the soft hearted hero with a solid perspective.) and perhaps seventy two were more like Jack. (She's clearly the faster and more energetic of the pair and clearly has something different about her. And indirectly causes the conflict thus making her an accessory to the antagonist.)
And maybe really pick up on that theme where Jack's inability to listen to others can cause problems for him. Perhaps he goes to visit Sandy Claws and gets eaten. Show some dialogue between Sally and Jack inside Oogie. Maybe even open up the possibility of a song for the inside of Boogie.
Then there's just the problem of Zach's hair.
I noticed you kept the styles very congruent to the movie.
Which weren't mainstream for their time.
It was designed before that hairstyle became popular.
So, I'd probably go with a more child like style with Zach's hair that matches his fear. (He'd even still be able to pull off bald if his eyes were bigger.)
But perhaps a simple bowl cut variation.
And I'd probably do it a yarn style seeing as how his mother's hair is yarn and she is a rag doll.
...
That's enough from me.
I truly love your work.
