Er... I'm not sure you can make that much effect with sulphuric acid, without anyone noticing you've mixed that much into their paint... it's fiiiiiiiiction...

I wonder which nationality's flags Angryman replaced Mr Peterson's England flags with.

Angryman's reminiscing from the '90s. He went to a former polytechnic that couldn't be arsed to get re-branded stationery after becoming a university. Wow, that was an awfully long time ago. I can't imagine present-day Happydude and Angryman as older than 30-something.

Here's the situation:

Around 6 years ago (holy ****! Sorry it's taken this long!!), I started drawing these pages of 'Happydude & Angryman: the Curious Case of the Breeze-Block Burglar'. This was done with:
- Wacom Intuos 3 tablet (PTZ-930)
- Paint Shop Pro 6
- Windows 7, and then 8.1

The pressure sensitivity kept vanishing, so I couldn't use the varying-width paintbrush, but then I'd update the tablet driver and pressure sensitivity would be back. Then the driver updates just stopped working. From what I can see on Wacom's site, they no longer support my tablet type. They do have one old driver you can download for Intuos 3, except it's not letting me do width-varying pressure sensitivity.

I am absolutely livid that this keeps happening. I have a perfectly good product that I have taken very good care of, and now it's unusable because reasons. Completely opaque software-y reasons, probably made up to hide the fact that they just want me to buy their flashy new products and junk my old ones, because who cares about resource use and electronic waste and the state of the planet, amirite. Tech geeks have a lot to answer for.

My options right now:
A. Print off all my sketches, ink them with felt tip (like I did for 'the BIG and Random Comic'), scan back in, edit like hell.
B. Try and make do without pressure sensitivity.
C. Find other software that can do width-varying paintbrush, layers, etc., and hope it works with my tablet. If not, revert to A or B.

Option A is more resource-intensive than I'd like, while B would be very frustrating and time-consuming and will not result in a style consistent with the pages so far.

If you can suggest a course of action that overcomes the disadvantages of both A and B, is compatible with PSP6 and Windows 10,* and doesn't involve buying a new tablet, I'd love to hear it. Thanks!

* I don't think it's a Windows 10 problem - it already started going irreversibly wrong from Windows 8.1.

EDIT: I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver and now the stylus won't make any marks.

EDIT EDIT: Hahaha, tried again and now the tablet doesn't work at all. The blue light comes on when I plug it in and then a few seconds later the light goes off.

In the meantime, here's something else I'm working on:

It's a little different to H-A-A, and my other comic, Person + Bacterium. Anyway, don't forget to comment or drop me a line about anything you like/dislike/whatever.

Oh noes, angryman is spreading his anger to his relatives too! I expect an angry angerfamily mob to come and punish Happydude for what he has done to their father's grave. o.o

Hooray! Childhood park ranger buddies!
I also agree with the above statement about the cuteness of this comic.

Not entirely sure with what's going on in the last panel of page 13 though. ._.

..and where the hell did the watermelon come from? Haha! Once again Angryman has my sympathy for always being hurt in someway. Also I cannot seem to get the pun on p11 but I'm assuming that it has to do with the plants that he is about to cut.

Happydude's over enthusiasm makes me laugh. Also poor Angryman, he has to deal with the crazy antics of happydude. Though "skiing" down a hill with two camperpacks seem like a pretty fun idea. And I too want to be a park ranger.

Great comic so far with interesting style as well as characters. :{D

Since this is a double page spread, I will not be posting anything next week. XP And perhaps not the week after either. I've nearly reached the end of the pages that are inked out, so unless I get my ass into gear, there won't be much uploading action for a while. In my defence, I have an awful lot of other work to do, for school, extra-curricular randomness, and sorting out university visits/interviews. So I'm sorry guyses. =[

You may point out that Angryman's entire plan is impossible. That's OK with me. It's only a cartoon.
