Oasis: '03-05 Archives

Murphy's Law states that anything that can go wrong, CAN and WILL go wrong in a given situation. For instance, when the plane you're on crashes in a desert, and you, the only (happily engaged) survivor, get molested by a random girl--wait, what?!

THIS IS VERY OLD (last time worked on was December 2005). It was a one-chapter failure of a webcomic I tried to run in high school, which I am reposting just in case anyone wants to read it.

That was probably the most randomest comic Ive ever read...but it was interesting. Not sure where that dark-skinned girl came from lol...and you draw really well.

This was the final piece of art ever posted for this comic, and so I think it should remain (for now, unless that .1% thing I mentioned happens). Thanks for reading, and I hope to see you around for my other comics. ^^

As proof that he can draw more than just stick figures with a trackball, Jaypii added this page in. I think it makes a nice final Plushie Guy page.
XD!! HE randomly did some random chick in the dessert? XD! omg.

This page originally came with subtitles. This is Jaypii's actual handwriting, and believe me, you have to study for a whole year before you can read it fluently. The translation is included below.

P.G.J.P. - Low Bandwidth Edition (P.G.J.P. standing for Plushie Guy Japyii)

Panel 1

Jaypii: Um...Mrs. Nishi-sama, I feel a little weird... (Yes, he actually DOES refer to me as "Mrs." It's a long story.)

Panel 2

Jaypii: Like the very fabric of the universe has shifted.

Panel 3

Nisey: Did you just start speaking in cursive?

Panel 4

JP & N: Why are we both misshapen and illegible?

Panel 5

We interrupt this comic to bring you a relatively pointless announcement. Ramtime will be ending in 3 minutes. (Don't even ask about ramtime. It's this gay character building thing our school makes us take.)

Jaypii: Why are there words floating up there?
Nisey: Just ignore them. Maybe they'll go away.

Panel 6

Jaypii: Is it just me, or is this more random than usual?
Nisey: Who knows?
Walrus of Abnormality: Mroo? (Another inside joke. It's not supposed to make sense.)

Under the pipe it says, "Je ne pas un pipe". This is a distortion of the French painting that he likes so much. And then under that, in parentheses, it says, "It's an upside down santa hat." He then signed "JP". The random poring on the right side is a doodle done by Tafkae, artist of Kanpeki.

If you read Megatokyo, I'm sure you'll understand where this stuff comes from. "Plushie Guy Jaypii" is a dear friend of mine (who will be returning for later multi-chapter webcomics) who offered to help me out when I couldn't make my weekly updates (much like Shirt Guy Dom from Megatokyo).

Don't let the stick figures fool you, these are actually very clever and entertaining pages.

While there's not really any "art" on this page, this was to let my readers know of my computer-based catastrophe that happened around New Years 2006.

If you haven't read Kanpeki, you should. Even though it doesn't update anymore, it's totally worth it. This was a gift comic for dear Taffy. <3

What now commences is a series of "Art Day" drawings I did while I was foolishly trying to update on a weekly basis. This one was inspired by a poll I ran on the original website as to character popularity.

IMPORTANT: I DID NOT DRAW THAT LOVELY FIRST PANEL. I WAS YOUNG AND STUPID. PLEASE DON'T PAY ME FOR THIS AND I WON'T GET SUED FOR COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT. THANK YOU.
