Pencil view [Updates Mondays *cough*]

by SuperferretIX
If you've never seen someone sleep in a toaster, dress themselves as a candle (by setting their head on fire), or get bitten by a crayon, then you haven't met Percy. And if you like calling people short and are still breathing, you haven't met Bill.
Feel the need to remedy this situation? Then read the adventures and silliness that is Pencil View. Remember, laughter is good for your health.

I have occasionally doodled fireworks, but this is the first time I've drawn them being launched, originally Bill was just launching them off a plain grassy hill until I went "Wait, how is the grass not on fire...crud, what doesn't burn?! Sand? SAND! Okay, we can fix this, we can fix this!!"

Anyway, have a good holiday everyone, I'll still be working on other projects and paid work stuff, but I want to continue PV in the New Year, call it a resolution maybe? Anyway, it'll probably appear in mid January, this time round I'd like to give myself a half-decent buffer so that when things inevitably go awry it's not the end of the PV world as we know it.
@Sappire: He gets the award for being most punctual.
I spy a fourth Doctor and a K-9 and there is no way I could get away without squealing.

SQUEE. >w<!!
(Not the scariest costume, but definitely worthy of some kind of award!)
Halloween 2015
Deadlines may be the bane of my existence right now, but at least Bill got a snazzy paper crown out of it.
Chp 4 Pg 07
Behold the page is here, as I said in my news post the weekend I usually use for making pages was eaten up by other work. But here it is now, and with another (fortunately much shorter) flashback. You may remember (or not because it was aaaaages ago) part of the conversation from this page: http://pencilview.smackjeeves.com/comics/594718/chp1-pg-21/

I am saying in advance right now, there will be no update next week as my first major assignment is due at the end of this month (and it's not even half done yet, so EEK!) If I get over the trauma quickly there will be a new update on the 6th of July (Aussie time).
Chp 4 Pg 06
Well, at least 13 will be happy. And next week we get a better introduction to Agent 77.
Chp 4 Pg 05
Yeah this page did not come out how I originally intended, but I had been trying to work in an angle to show what the corridor looked like properly and then the entire dialogue changed to match the new angles. So...sorry if you found this page less entertaining...but at least the lift is open now!...Yay?
Chp 4 Pg 04
Nothing to see here, particularly not on panel 4. Ignore that, it's just a silly scanner it doesn't mean anything....
Chp 4 Pg 03
You finally see what Agent 13 looks like underneath the helmet, admittedly in an overly-sparklified manner, but I wanted to have fun with that moment.
Chp 4 Pg 02
Yay success, despite the odds the comic is up!
And poor 13 isn't taking his mistake particularly well.

Also, in case you cannot tell what that weird green smudge-lump is in panel 3, that's meant to be a 'cloak box' (a security room in stealth mode). I'd wanted to have a better reveal of it, but I wanted to get 13 and 42 moving so...sacrifices were made.
AFK: 4 Days of Beading
If you've been checking the News section you know already but I'll expand on the situation here. I got a commission for 4 necklaces so I packed construction of these 10-11hr necklaces into the space of 4 days and cut out some sleep so I could manage it. I thought this would give me enough time to work on Pencil View on the 5th day and have it up by the 6th. This backfired badly when my back started sending me stabby death threats. Then after I rested long enough to be able to come back and actually do the page, the drawing tablet I used decided to sputter and die. I will be trying to get a quick substitute but I don't know when the next page will be up. In the meantime, here (if you haven't guessed already) are the 4 necklaces I made.

Hopefully I'll be back sooner rather than later with a real update.

Either it's a new uniform or they're in the wrong secret maniacal headquarters.
Chapter Four
Dun DUN DUUUUUUUUN.
Yep, chapter four is around the corner and we see the return of the THEM agents, this time in COLOUR. What wondrous news. For some.
Chapter Three
I completely forgot to put this up here, SORRY everyone. Not that I expect people miss covers or anything, they're just the wrapping paper to the story that you want to rip out of the way...
Chp 3 Pg 24
And thus ends Chapter 3, I'm still debating whether to continue the story or go into a side thing, or go into a DIFFERENT side thing. At least I have a whole week to make a decision ;P
Chp 3 Pg 23
I was really torn about whether or not to have motion lines for Dan's slinking away, but everything I drew seemed too bold, hopefully the environment moving away is enough of an indicator.
Chp 3 Pg 22
Late because of that last panel, I kept re-designing the background and then covered it in speech bubbles and needed to move things around. Bah. It is done though. Looking at the original designs for Bill's kitchen (as in the really really really old view of it from the 1st page of chapter 1), it was not very well thought out...So I thought it would be better if it got a make-over.
April Fools
Yay, I remembered to do an April Fools page this year. RELEASE THE FIREWORKS!! I'll hopefully get better at these as I go along, normal updates next week honest, but I wanted to do one of these for once =P
Chp 3 Pg 21
Don't ask where he got the confetti. It was probably the decimated remains of origami creations that fell down the back of the sofa.
Chp 3 Pg 20
I had a tonne of fun with lighting in this page, hopefully you will also enjoy the experiment, I AM trying to improve as I go along. Admittedly there are more gradients in this shot than I would like, but I find the sofa background is a little boring, but that's what they were leaning against at the time and I didn't want to waste time and dialogue moving them somewhere else...yet.
