You're so cute when you're making a forceful point. <3 ^^

So you're planning to eventually reboot the story, making the changes that will make it the story you now want to tell?

Good, that is far better than (as I have seen far too many comic creators do) just dropping everything and walking away forever. I have read/am reading several reboots and enjoyed/am enjoying them, so go for it. :)

Here are a some points to consider as you work: We do not see what you envisioned, we only see what you have done, and suffer no lack from that. I LIKED the story you were doing. :)

Also, although you do beautiful, far above average work, you, personally, will never be satisfied with it, because you are an artist, and that is the artist's curse and goad, driving you to improve. Here's the key. If we readers like it, stop redrawing it and make the improvements on the next panel. We want to read, not wait for perfection. :)

You are a natural storyteller. It may not have been exactly the story you were trying to tell, but it was good, and that is the most important part.

You also make us care about the characters. You'll know you're succeeding when people forget that it's a story, and start thinking of the characters as real people. ^^

*Blush* End if sermon. Keep me informed because I want to see where you go next. ^^
So here's the thing: I had this whole essay on why this comic needs a serious upgrade, plus three pages of the above comic update to try to explain why I feel the way I do, but... At the end of the day, this is what I've needed to do for years. I've had people tell me to do this and I didn't take them seriously because I was so set on seeing Amaravati through to the end as it is.

I've spent a few weeks doing completely different things while I mulled over how to make this announcement, and it's done me a world of good.
I love this story with all my heart, but I started it in high school, I aimed too high for what I was capable of, and I ultimately didn't reach my goal. That's ok! I learned a lot and I'll come back to it eventually, but for now I need to put it down, get some distance, and let it breathe. I'll come back to it later, when I can tell it right.

I've learned a lot since starting this comic and I can't thank any returning readers enough for your support.

That said, I also apologize to anyone who has come to this site in error, looking for information on the actual city of Amaravati. The title is a remnant of really lazy teenage non-planning and I've been wanting to change it for a couple years now - I just didn't know what to change it to. That will be something I fix when I return to the story. This site will remain up as an archive (and later will receive a new URL) but the new version will be posted on a new site with a new title that doesn't just scream cultural appropriation.

In the meantime, I've actually already got another project lined up, so if you're interested at all in my other work, please follow me at TrinitySilph.Tumblr.com and/ or @TrinitySilph on Twitter for updates there.

Thank you so much again to anyone who's ever read this amateur beast, and I hope you'll take a look at my new projects.
Cheers,
Meg

And just like that, chapter 4 is done.
That... was a really long haul.

As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I will be going on a little hiatus now so I can work on chapter 5 and rebuild my buffer. I don't have a timeline for that yet, but I'll be sure to post updates and whatnot when I have them.
I haven't nailed down any guest work just yet, but a couple people have expressed interest in creating some filler material, so you can also keep an eye out for that. =)

To stay up to date (and see the other stuff I'm working on) you can follow me at http://TrinitySilph.Tumblr.com and https://twitter.com/TrinitySilph .

I'm never sure how many of my page views come from bots and how many are from real people, but to anyone interested in this project: thank you so much for reading, and I'll see you soon.

Cheers! <3

Not gonna lie, I totally forgot to update this. It's been done for weeks and I still forgot. ... maybe that's why I forgot.
Oh well. xD

See you next week!

Aaand we're back.
...
But only for a couple months, I'm afraid. I will be taking another little break to get a buffer worked up for chapter 5, and the guest spots I mentioned will be going up while I get myself organized.

The good news is that we're almost to the end of chapter 4! This is really the end of an era for me - this is the last of the material I wrote back in Ye Olde Days, though it got the most editing. Chapter 5 was plotted out back then, but didn't really get any focus until last year.
And after this... Uncharted Territory.
It's all so exciting. >w>

See you next week!
Week one of the Guest Spot Bonanza goes to my friend Evelyna, aka UltearLight. I wasn't sure what a coffee shop AU would look like, when she mentioned it to me, but... this is pretty damn accurate. <3

You can check out more of Evelyna's work at http://UltearLight.Tumblr.com.
This "page" will be removed when updates resume. =)

I'll wait. (Maybe if I get some time I'll do an archive dive and catch up.)

If you've been following my news updates, you'll know this has to be the last update for a while. My buffer is completely shot and I can't order a replacement for my cintiq until tomorrow. I'll be getting a really nice upgrade, but it'll take some time before I can start working again.
Depending on how long it takes to get the tablet, plus any random variables... I estimate 2 - 3 weeks before I can start producing pages again.

As usual, I'll keep you posted.
Cheers!

The good news is that Wacom support did finally get back to me (a week later)... the bad news is that I'm probably going to need to replace a cable, and there's no way in hell that's happening quickly. Even if I can get the cable quickly, there's also the chance that the whole bloody thing still won't work and I'll have to replace the whole tablet. (Which, I mean, wouldn't be so bad, because then I could look into a Companion 2 and /man/ am I into that... but it's pricey as hell.)

As usual, I'll keep you posted.

Still no word from Wacom support (see front page news post) but I've figured out something that might work. I'll try it tomorrow and update when I know for sure.

See you next week!

Actually remembered to set a future update! Hooray!

As you read this, I'm probably at work, smiling at customers like I'm paying attention but actually thinking about Pokemon's 20th anniversary.

See you next week!

I spent days on this page. DAYS.
The only bad thing about it is that now I have to recreate a GIANT BURNING WOLF on several other pages. It's harder than it sounds, especially when you're my divine combination of working all day and lazy. =P

See you next week!
