Double Life

Alexis is beautiful, famous, wealthy; what more could a person ask for? Normalcy, that's what. She wants to go to high school like everyone else She disguises herself and enters school. She meets Lance who seems to be nothing but trouble. Can she survive high school and keep her famous life a secret?

This will later contain some sexual situations and some violence. Read left to right.

Rule of thumb - never have a character say the same thing twice on a page unless it is explicitly for comedic effect. A lot of this dialogue crowds in the characters and heck, the background crowds the characters as well.

Read this tutorial and the other ones by the same writer. They helped me out a lot.

The black and white drawings are more emotive and relatable than the CG. I like it better.
TYPOS "league" "believe"

The "shock" panel would have been way more effective if it did a close up of their faces as they reacted. The more intense the emotion, usually the closer in you want to go.
Here's an example of telling vs. showing.

"I'm surprised. He doesn't usually do these types of shows" sounds robotic and has a "I'm just saying this to inform the audience" feel. Never just state an emotion in the dialogue. SHOW IT! :D

More effective: "Really?! He wants to do a chick flick?"

Or
(disbelief/sarcasm)
"Cameron DAWSON. Wants to do a CHICK FLICK. Get out of here."

And then the director says something like "Hey, he wanted to work with you." or "He's tired of doing [previous type of films]"

Or makes some sort of humourous sarcastic comment "I think he got jealous of Pattinson getting all the fangirls"
Problems again
Hi there. This is actually Gaiadarkstar but due to a technical problem I can no longer log in to my old account. I have asked admins multiple times for help but no one has helped me so far. At this point it looks like I will have to start all over and have this comic in two places but I don't see any other option. I probably won't put it up right away since I still haven't even finished the two pages I started nearly five months ago but I will try to start working on them soon and when I have a good enough buffer ready I will start re-posting this comic under my new username.

Don't worry eveyone gets like that, just go at a pace youre happy with Im sure people will be patient ^^ Nice page btw :)
Ok I finally posted page four. I feel terrible that I have been so slow but I just can't seem to keep up right now. I think I need a long hiatus where I work on building up a buffer so that I can not stress so much. I would love to hear what you guys think but I really think I need to do this or I might give up altogether. So don't look for another update for a while but don't worry it won't be for more than a month or two. I want this comic to be the best it can be so I don't want to have to rush it. So look forward to more when I get back.
Hey there, yes, yet again no comic. It is actually not terribly far off but there was so much in the next two pages to draw and such that I just couldn't get it done on time, I also kind of lost interest in it for the moment. Don't worry I will have it up in the next couple days and the page after that will be finished at the same time so it will be up on time at the normal time of wed. Meanwhile I hope you enjoy this. I made it as a wallpaper for my computer. The original full size 1280 by 720 is available for download at http://gaiadarkstar.deviantart.com/#/d3ko0vz

Aww I can get demotivated too I hope you get out of it :) Nice page ^^
I know I am three weeks late and I am sorry. I have been feeling so unmotivated recently but hopefully I can get out of my funk. But here it is and we get to see Alexis as a little girl with her mother at her first tryout. More to come in the next installment. I may or may not jump back and forth to chapter 2, depends on what you guys think or if you just want me to stick with one at a time.

Right now I am working on the prequel so page 30 will be a while. I might jump back and forth though. So keep an eye out cause the new page I am working on now is ch. 1 page 3, it will be up soon.
Thanks PabloKitsune.
*blush* I tried, thanks so much, Meeleb.
I really love the background!
Wow it looks quite realistic ^^
That's cool, most of the pages will be in black and white except the chapter splash pages and perhaps one comic page or special filler pages will be in color.
Fan service filler
I am sorry this isn't a comic but I worked on this for "Drawing Party" instead of finishing the next comic page, so I decided to post it here to for your viewing enjoyment.
Just read it and enjoyed it :) Though I am a new fan sorry >< To be honest I prefer the black and white ^^ But intresting story :)
Here is the second page of the pre story. I hope everyone enjoys it. I don't know if the next page will be done. I haven't started on it yet. Perhaps if I had more comments? *Poke* Just a hint that I would love to hear from my fans out there.
