Pokemon Elite

Pokemon Elite

by CartoonistWill
Brief Summary:
Based in the Pokemon world, with the action of Dragon Ball Z, starring Sonic the Hedgehog style pokemon characters and their clueless trainer.

The Comic's History:
Pokemon Elite is a fan webcomic Will Boyer created back in 1999 that saw a good internet fan base until its demise. A great deal of cross overs were completed with other writers, such as A.K.'s fan fiction, "Chronicles of the Elite," Hawk's fan fiction involving the adventures of a trainer partnered with a Celebi, and the fan fiction "Justin's Journeys."

Personal Note From the Cartoonist:
These are OLD scans and in no way represent my current abilities. This is a test to see if reviving the comic is worth my time and trouble. If this old comic takes off I will complete the story and possibly redraw what I've already made. That means, IF ANY OF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE THIS COMIC LOOKING AS NICE AS MY OTHER WORK AND WITH A FINISHED STORY, YOU HAVE TO COMMENT AND SAY SO. Thanks.

@jason: Hey, Jason! :-)

Thought I'd leave a comment on here too, for others that might would like me to continue the story as well. I had wanted for several years, but at this time I am working a 40+ hour a week job, illustrating a children's book at another job, fixing a house up to live in, and working on getting married. Unfortunately, as time is precious and fleeting, I am unable to work on most of my webcomics including Pokemon Elite at this time. Glad you like the comic, though! :-)

This is a poster for a fan fic I wrote for the Pokemon Elite and takes place long after the Mewtwo and several other Saga/story arcs. I never finished writing it.
I love that expletive. JACKIE CHAN!?!

The Four Dragon Overtake is one of Milo's most powerful and cool techniques. Very Dragon Ball Z style. No, nothing like Kamehameha. It instead manipulates energy strategically. Like bringing puppets to life. It's awesome. You should see it. Too bad it's not appearing in the Mewtwo Saga. It's only appeared in fan fic cross overs so far.
Is this to happen during the next Budokai Saga? I really have no idea. It's been too long and I can't remember.

Otherwise this is the first page of two pages of Milo fighting the Mew from the movies, who is living on the Kanto League Champion's farm land and Pokemon preserve in Elite31's fan fics.
The colored version of the last page.

I still don't know what they're saying, so ... translation, anyone? It's been that long since I wrote this.
I made this as a joke. It comprises a look into the future of this comic. You see, back in 1999-2002 or so the Pokemon Elite guest starred in several fan fics by Elites31, a friend named Justin/Epyon/Saturos, and Hawk or etc. These appearances happened through out different parts of my comic and character's time line. The one above is sometime several Saga/story arcs from the current time, and may never occur. It has a character by Elites31, but I may no longer be able to intertwine the cross overs into my series any longer. And I'll probably not get that far.

Also, I have no idea what they're saying anymore. Translate and tell me! Thanks.
This is breaking from the current story, but IF I finish the current story, then obviously it will have different artwork which reflects my artistic abilities 10 years later. Also, I may never finish the story. So, here's another piece of the old artwork.

This is a poster for the next Saga after the Mewtwo Saga. Milo the Mew, Lightning, and a host of other characters, including several fan submissions to the comic back then and a cross over with Elite31's Pokemon fan fiction stories titled, "Chronicles of the Elite," all competing together in an ancient and secretive Pokemon Martial Arts tournament that is not connected to any of the Leagues. Will I ever do this story? Probably not.

plz finish. I like the story. It's really cool. please :D
Oohhhhhh I hate that move.
Heh. That last one is good. :)
dude, this comic rules!
White out
I don't know what's worse, panel 7 or the fact I think I see white out in panel 10 and panel 7 still exists. However; this being a ten year old comic, who's complaining?
Trivia
#1 - Lightning the Pikachu's "Agility x 5" attack move is based after a combination of the game's "agility" technique and Goku's Kaioken from way back in the Saiyan Saga of Dragon Ball.
The memories...
Ah, this brings me back.
"You Look Like the Skipper"?
Panel 3 contains a pop-culture reference of an early to mid 1900's television series known as Gilligan's Island. If you grew up in America and have never heard of it, you're living under a rock. This panel is a testament to the fact that I did not have a script written out, nor did I have proper page layouts planned, thus I improvised the dialogue and the story. I wish I hadn't as this is one of the many things I realized I hated after the fact.
Missing In Creation
If I had expounded upon the first few story arcs as seen in, "A Brief Sense of History," the reader would have known that Will has been trying to get rid of this Tangela ever sense he caught it. He has very unaffectionately named it, "Kujo." Other Trivia includes the fact that the cartoonist hates the works of Steven King despite this reference for pop culture sake.
Trivia
#1 - The conversation between Giovanni and Mewtwo in this panel is the same famous conversation from the first theatrical movie.
