Something Wicked

by SliceOfDog
I started Something Wicked a long time ago, but took a year or so to write it, develop the characters and... well... just generally slack off. But now I'm back in business and, while I may not be updating to a tight schedule, I'm hoping to get one done every week or so. But don't hold me to that.

Question was "What is your zombie invasion plan?"

Aaaaaand there we go. Last AQOC comic uploaded. Thank Jebus, eh?

As I stated at the start, this does not indicate that a revival is anywhere in sight, but I may try the odd one-off every now and again.

Clarification: 16 is the age of consent in the UK. Shane is pretty pervy, but he's not supposed to be a paedophile. So just bear that in mind if your own country happens to consider 16 year olds minors.

For character-purposes I should explain that neither character would genuinely want to stab the Prime Minister. Or anyone else.
This isn't some PC rubbish I'm doing to cover my own back, I just want to stay true to my own characters and explain that their answer here is a joke.

Question was "Where was yesterday's question?".

Context required: The question for that week was uploaded a day late. Each of the comics that Trey is holding here (including this one) are just showing how I saw the average answer for the respective AQOC upload.

...

There's probably no point me uploading it here, but it remains one of my favourite drawings of Trey. So there.

And boom, the new art style kicks in. And we also get a muddled introduction to Trey's son, Isaac. Erm... I was supposed to give him a proper introduction in Something Wicked after the reboot, but that never materialised. So enjoy!

So, this one requires a bit of explanation. Dregan posed the question, which was "Am I screwing with you?"

So this is Trey and Shane responding directly to Dregan.

The rest of the equation can be discovered here:

For the record, I REALLY don't like this particular strip. But whatever.

Calm down, calm down (all three of you). This isn't an official Something Wicked revival. I'm not sure that will ever happen, unfortunately.

What this IS is a series of comics featuring Trey and Shaun (renamed Shane in a reboot that was planned but never materialised on this side of SmackJeeves) which were part of a group comic called 'A Question of Character'*. The basic idea was that each week a question would be posed, and the contributing authors would answer it using one or two of their characters who they wanted to develop further.

Some of the comics perhaps won't make sense out of context, and I'm aware that some people who followed Something Wicked in the good ol days also contributed to (or followed) AQOC, so for you guys I'm afraid I don't have anything new yet.

Anyway, over the next couple weeks I'll just be uploading my AQOC comics. Look out for the super fun change of art-style about 7 comics ahead. Exciting!

(I should be doing work right now...)

*'A Question of Character', or AQOC, is still running, although I am no longer a contributer for the same reason I no longer create new Something Wicked strips: I cannot manage my time.
HOWEVER. If it sounds interesting, feel free to check it out here: http://aqoc.smackjeeves.com/
@SuperScratchkat: Yeeeeeeah.... it's becoming a more accurate prediction every day...

Erm, since I'm rather flattered someone bothered to comment on a poorly drawn comic that only ever got 18 pages and stopped updating 4 years ago, I might track down my AQOC pages with my Something Wicked characters and upload those here, just for something to put up. I also found an old sketch for a one-off strip I was wanting to make, which I may do over the holidays, in between crying about being an adult now and actually having work to do.

Unfortunately though, that's about the best I can offer. I wasn't good at updating this at the best of times, and I honestly can't see myself ever going back to regular uploads (which is a shame. Since I sketched out about 200 strips of this damn thing, and just couldn't be bothered to make it)
its going to be 27 years
Thanks a lot, glad you like it. I'm afraid it'll be a long time till I carry on, and when I do it might be with a different comic. Similar humour, but the characters will be different.
After I stopped updating here though, I joined A Question of Character using these characters, so if you'd like to see more you can check out the AQOC archives:

Just search for Slice and you'll find my comics :p
I sure hope you come back soon.
Very good comic man.
