I'm way late to the party, but I thought it was a lovely story with some pretty great art.

I wish some more of the back story had been introduced, and perhaps scenes between father and daughter (because, to be honest, I didn't really feel upset that her father was killed, I wasn't connected to him at all). I was also interested in what happened to that female army leader, but we didn't see her again after she was carted off - I guess we're supposed to assume she died.

great story... it could be a anime movie maybe... but for a series? you could have extended it out alot further, imposed upon the in between parts and built up suspense between the major story development parts...

all in all though it was very delightful to read
