The city of Anivia is a utopia... if you're human. In a world split down the middle between dog shapeshifters and human citizens, there is little justice when the farthest a domesticated dog can hope to reach for is a decent blue collared job.

But, when a wild dog lands in the hands of a wealthy businessman, there is the indefinite struggle over the harshness and unpredictability of the wild and the comfort of domestication. Cage has always seen himself as independent and free, until he strikes a bargain with the devil in the form of Dmitri Molokov and becomes his lap dog.
