I usually just give my characters stupid names on purpose
@Shard: Well he was named Victor way before his current conception. Also it's a common English name, so there's that.
@The Magnificent Z: You say that like you actually need one.
I like turtles

@The Magnificent Z- Firstly, she's actually named after hurricane Katrina. Secondly, I was like 12. What's your excuse?
@Shard:

Your cat is named Kat.

Says the one whose name is Victor
There was time last night in which I could have made the next page of Breaking News.

Instead I made this.
I have no reason or explanation for this image.

@The Magnificent Z: Ah, good point. I was just kidding anyways. You're clearly a very productive person.

@Ren Fowl: Well you are reading Breaking News, so you know that's already not the case for me.

This is what I imagine happening every time I destroy a universe and pilfer characters from it.

I'm trying to destroy less universes as a result.

@The Magnificent Z: Be careful. I felt the same way once. I was like "I'm tired of making fan comics. I'm going to make completely original stories with sprite comics" then I never made another comic again.

Honesty time.

I've sort of washed my hands of the whole "fancomic" aspect of sprite comicking, at least in terms of my serious efforts. While my sprites retain similar styles to Sonic and Megaman and what have you (though most of my stuff is either drawn scratch or based on blank templates of no particular style,) I'd rather write something original these days than rely on some pre-existing IP.

That being said, I'm still going to salvage characters and concepts for future storylines. The end of Unexpected Development doesn't mean the end of Alex or Sam. In fact, you may very well be seeing them in something I'm in the planning stages of right now. Valence's new comic is a little further along but I'm still not quite ready to make it public yet.

@Ren Fowl: Well, to be fair, it has been over half a year since Unexpected Development was updated. Which is unfortunate, cause I enjoy that comic, too.

@The Magnificent Z: It took me a very sad amount of time to realize that was a link.

It's also pretty sad that I didn't recognize her seeing as I totally read that comic.

Who is this purple hair? Should I know this purple hair? I do not know this purple hair.

But what if I WANT to get bored, forget to update the comic for four months, and then post a half-assed page as an apology?
