Aw, I'm sad to see this hiatus! However I understand you wanting to focus your creative talents! I wish you all the best on writing your book! I'd love to read it someday :D

Hey guys.

I already said everything in the image up there, but just to expand a little:

It was really hard to come to this decision. It was also really hard to force myself to finish this last chapter.

Echo is my brain-child, and I love it just as much as I did 10 years ago when I made the first fateful, random sketch that grew into so much more. We haven't come anywhere close to all the twists and turns of this story that make me care for it so much.

But I also have to take a step back and recognize that my persistence isn't paying off. My struggle to keep up with weekly pages (the only way I could finish this story before I die) is keeping me from doing other important (and more attainable) things in both my personal and creative life.

Did you know I'm writing a book? I'm five years and 300-or-so pages into it, and the end is in sight. But the end keeps getting farther and farther away as I keep chipping away at Echo instead.

Did you know I'm a much better writer than artist? My book is where my skills and attention are needed right now. I need to make it work.

So, for now, I need to put Echo on the shelf. As much as it kills me to do so.

Like I mentioned, I'll still be online and posting art, so you can follow me at: Maybe you'll see some familiar faces there from time to time.

I don't know if or when I'll be able to return to Echo. But I hope I'll have another avenue for sharing my stories someday.

Thanks for reading all these years. See you around!

@Bero: I totally feel that haha some of my older work I just want to tuck away so nobody sees!

@Birdz555: I am torn between saying "Be my guest!" and "Oh lord, don't look at the old art!" haha.

And thank you! I was really looking forward to reaching this milestone.

Throwback!! Ah that makes me want to go back to the beginning and reread this :D Start the next chapter with everything fresh in my mind~

Congrats on finishing another chapter! :D

They'll be expecting us.
...But not the Spanish Inquisition!
Nobody expects that. Or the girl from the prologue. ;)

And that's a wrap for this chapter! Thanks for reading.

@Birdz555: Dun dun dun, indeed.

So am I. :)

So many trees! And a very large house! And people who know they're coming. Dun dun dun!!!

Looking forward to next week! :D

Do we need to let them know we're coming?
For someone who hates backgrounds, I sure do have way too much fun drawing trees...

Only one page left in the chapter! It is already complete and will go up next Monday. :) Thanks for reading!

@Birdz555: He he he. Gotta appreciate her ingenuity.

And thank you!

FRANCES NO XD (well I guess she doesn't need a periscope)

Good luck studying!!!

Almost forgot to post this, haha...

Sorry for the delays. I'm hunkering down in study mode for the next two months, so I won't have a lot of time for comicking. :/ Really close to the end of the chapter, though!

@Bero: A bunch of firsts!! :D

I will appreciate the heck out of them!!
September 23rd, 2016
@Birdz555: First train ride and first carriage ride in the same day! Best day ever.

Well, fortunately for me, it turns out there actually aren't as many backgrounds next page. :) It's the following one that I'm going to hate, haha. But thanks in advance for your appreciation!

Awwww Arial!! He's so excited!!

So many backgrounds...! They look awesome! I'll be sure to take my time and appreciate them on the next page too :D
September 20th, 2016
Yes, Arial.
So apparently pages with backgrounds take a long time to do?? Good thing I avoid them like the plague.

The next few pages are also kind of involved art-wise, though, so like your friendly neighborhood airport, expect delays.

No travel or new laptop purchases this time to get in the way, though, so let's see if I can make it in two weeks this time!

@Bero: I had a super great time! So much to see, so little time!

5:30 ouch, that's rough! D:
September 7th, 2016
@Birdz555: Nice! Hope you had fun. :D

Haha--Luke's line was actually added in while I was drawing. As a fellow night owl, I want to sympathize, but as someone who has to wake up at 5:30 for work every morning, I have forgotten the meaning of sympathy. 8)

Sorry for my late comment!! I was on a road trip (woot)

I get you, Luke, who wants to get up early!
August 29th, 2016
Define "early."
The conversation and the chapter start coming to a close...

Next page should be up in two weeks!
