A Teenager's Guide to Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse

by samwisethebrave
Life ain't easy being a zombie hunter. Max Miracle knows this firsthand: as the son of Melvin and Soli Miracle, Professional Hunters of the Undead, he's handled his share of mindless monsters - and that was just other high school kids. But when a case brings his family to the small town of Estacada, OR, Max finds more than he expected in Kara, the transgender girl next door. In between dodging the local authorities, fighting decapitated Bigfoot experts, passing Calculus, and working up the guts to ask Kara to prom, Max must figure out a way to stop the looming zombie apocalypse...before it's too late for us all!

Written by Rachel Mohr. Chapter 1 illustrated by Sienna Morris; Chapter 2 illustrated by Alyssa Gnall.

The funny thing about zombie movies is how easily everyone imagines everyone else would be the one to get turned into a zombie. No one imagines it that they'd be in the shambling crowd.

Really awesome story you've got so far. I'm not crazy about the switch in art styles but I'm getting used to it by the end of ch.2.
Ha, oh man, that last panel is great. The look on her face!

Pretty much fantastic. It's like The Walking Dead meets Supernatural, which are both things I love, so I love this doubly!

I'm always on the look out for new zombie comics and this one looks pretty promising. The zombie going for the baby is chilling.

Wow.
This is just amazing. The story and its pacing (and intrigue) are just great, and the art fits perfectly. And I agree, the scene where he holds the baby is just very striking. Well done, I'm loving it and can't wait to meet Kara.

By the way...
Love the depiction of the first zombie. The visual of him holding the infant was chilling, and made me want to find out what would happen RIGHT THEN!
