This is the Story of Nirrod, an almost normal 14 year old boy.
He is living with his Family and his clan in a big village in the north of Katran.
Nirrod is living his life well protected and without sorrows in the lap of his clan.
he is playing with other kids, playing pranks....a normal life.
but all of this is going to change....

A stupid place holder again from 2018.

Thank you for your patience.
The next real page will be online this weekend.

@Maeke: Do you think so?

(^__-)
Going back to my last comment, i think the guards are a bit startled there.
@JoKeR: And here I was worried you might take this the wrong way.

Also I am now VERY exited for the further development of this escape.

Have I mentioned that I really like the expansion of the story so far? I think I have, but it bears repeating.

@Chains: NOpe...
First, that's not "him".
Second, that part is still there but comes later.
Third, the guards are not that dumb. (^__-)

Ps. I love your critique.
It gives me some good insights how people might understand a scene.
Well...

He's bigger than in the first run.

Interresting how you restructured the scene, though I have to admit that I liked the stealth version better. Seemed more... reasonable, I guess? It always bothers me a bit when characters get noticed by large ammounts of (presumably) trained guards RIGHT IN THE ENEMYS STRONGHOLD, and the guards don't react in any coordinated manner beyond "run after them as a mob". These guys should have used their knowledge of the territory to herd the boys into a corner or flanked them to cut them of. It just seems unrealistic for the people in charge of upholding the law in this city (even if their superiors are corrupt shits) to be incompetent.

That is not to say that this isn't a valid way to write the story, or an unentertaining read, I just am no fan of that particular trope. And I like stealth scenes.

Oh damn, the Lava Guardian looks rad.
(And I love the guards' faces in those middle panels, haha.)

@JoKeR: It's a play on words. Spell correctly in this case means cast a spell correctly.

Yay! ...I had finally time to draw again.

Meet the Lava Guardian.
@JoKeR: "much violence and swearing"

Ah, I didn't think of that. Here in the U.S., kids see a large quantity of violence in the entertainment media; very few parents prevent their children from watching violence anymore.

Ironically, many parents still try to prevent their children from seeing media with swearing, but this is nearly impossible.

@Kevin_Redcrow:
"But I assume that Katran is intended as an all-ages story..."
Nope, more like a teen and young adult thing. I mean there is already too much violence and swearing in that comic to count as an all-ages story.

But I'm not so much for poop jokes in Katran. Fart jokes could be a thing.

@JoKeR: hehe...I must confess that it would have been funny if this page was as my warped imagination thought it was in my first comment.

But I assume that Katran is intended as an all-ages story...

@Kevin_Redcrow: Yes, I edited the two Panels to get Nirrod's movement better visible.

And I edited the sound-word to let it sound less like doing a dump.

Thanks for pointing out the flaws.
@JoKeR: Ah, I see.

Nirrod let the guard nearly catch up to him, then literally cast the spell and started running faster at the same time.

I'll just wait for the next update if I still got it wrong.

@Kevin_Redcrow: The Magic system in Katran is elemental based. Therefore no "transformation" from one thing into another is possible.

But I can see why you think this is what happened ...and it's a failure of mine.
The transition between the panels wasn't clear enough.

I edited the page a little bit.
Especially the first two panels to make it a little bit clearer, I hope.
