Tales of Tricksters

by Rei Yami Hikari
This is A Tale of Tricksters
a comic about the myths and legends of ancient times. However, instead of only being about GREEK legends, these tales of old are ones that have usually been overlooked. Unlike OTHER stories and main medias, these myths are following true to the tales of the Tricksters.

Coyote, Raven and Fox from Native American mythology, Set/Sutekh/Seth from Egyptian mythology, and Loki from Norse mythology with many more to come.

I myself hate it when mystical creatures and mythical figures are butchered in modern media- I wish to be able to fix some of this damage, bringing this comic into light. I have added a bit of my own flavour to them, but they will stay good and true to their origins.

Aww!
Actually, she challenged the Moon God Khonsu for enough moonlight for five days, not Ra.
Doesn't look like Ram'll be having kids anytime this millennium! Or the next one for that matter!

@Forte: Thanks very much. Because of technical difficulties, we've been slowed down, but Coyote's adventures are far from over.

Rejoice and be glad!

My photoshop has been shot, so Tales of Tricksters is unable to update....

However, if the gap is too long, I may resort to alternate colouring methods. any suggestions?

A mixture of Birthday, homework, and personal drama will make the next page late, please forgive me.

Enjoy this short whatever from guest artist Reisis, my little sister.
SCHOOL, WHY MUST YOU DO THIS!?
I'm so sorry.

This was drawn during a cram session.

ToT should update regularly every Tuesday and Thorsday from now on.

And yes, I know it's Tuesday, apparently Coyote doesn't.
lolz amazingness XD
HAAAAAAAPPYYY BIIIIIRTHDAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SET!

This paperchild features everyone's favourite Egyptian desert god eating some birthday cake. It was delicious. And yes, I do seriously have Egypt-Themed plates in my house. I have a Coyote mug, too.

This is my first paperchild, I hope it's good!

Set is the Egyptian god of deserts, Chaos, Storms, Darkness, Evil and overall awesome. And today is his birthday!

To celebrate, I made three 'paperchild' versions of him, please enjoy!

I didn't want to flood here, but the other two on my deviantart.

Ohoho O///O

why didn't they actually make them look like that in egypt? :/

lulz is this the story I think it is? XD
What's this? A New Chapter?
Taking a bit of a break from Fox and Coyote to dip into Ancient Egypt.

Why?

Because it's a special day for the mythology community. Happy birthday, Osiris!
IT'S CHRISTMAS!
Don't feed it after midnight, Fox!

My favourite Christmas movie is definately Gremlins. Not only does the title have my real name in it, but it's that delicious bit of holiday joy served with a side of ravenous creatures.

Merry Christmas from Tales of Tricksters!

UGH
WE'RE BACK, BABY!

After pesky, pesky school got in the way, it seems that I'll be updating less than I'd like. I'm so sorry.

However, to make up for it, I now have a tablet and a bunch of new technological goodies!

I'm actually in love with this page. I really do love it.

Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends. Just in case you didn't know, I myself am Canadian.

Why yes, Coyote does hate Thanksgiving, but this doesn't have much mythic merit since Thanksgiving is never mentioned and if there are 'white people' in the myths, Coyote makes fun of them. tee hee.
