No Horse Town

by Staniel
Berlin and Staniel are stupid names, and they are also stupid characters who live together in an Australian apartment. Together they explore the greatest stupid thing of all, Life, which truly is a no horse town.

Trust you to start updating while I was out of contact, forcing me into a Staniel-overload now I'm back.
Whoa, three updates in a row! One of 'em brilliant, another one chuckle-worthy, and one I didn't get. Nice quota, if you ask me.

Bet you didn't imagine this would ever happen!

So, it seems to me that whenever Eccentricity updates again after months of silence I get my act together soon after, and vice versa.
Could it be a healthy jealousy and profound sense of guilt transferred between fellow creators? Or could it just be uni holidays? Either way, hurrah.
And here's me thinking this might start getting updated again. Silly me.
Thanks for the recap... it was needed.

And good to know your dialogues are still top-notch.

Ah, I've missed this. Your backgrounds have come a long way in your absence. My challenge to you is to update more often than I do (no real challenge I know, but should get you doing at least something).

Ahem.

How very embarrassing. At the very least when normal people don't post a webcomic for 8 or 9 months they don't come crawling back to their dis-illusioned readers begging for laughs, forgiveness and new fans.

I'm not exactly normal though, and never have been. "Look who's back, back again, Staniel's back, tell your freinds."

And so we proudly march blindly and staggard updatingly into a new age of No Horse Town!
I promise more character depth from the three we've grown to love, as well as new characters! There'll be new and better jokes, better artwork, stronger continuity, and... well... I'm not going to promise regular updates. I have multiple lives running at once, deal with it.

But we're back! To fill you in on what's happened in our characters lives during the break, or if you're new to the strip:
They've moved out of wherever they were living before, and in (with Tile's help) to a sharehousing situation in the suburbs.
BERLIN: Still working as a cartoonist, his absurdist cartoons are gathering a bit of a following.
STANIEL: Working as a feature journalist for the local newspaper
TILE: Unemployed, but looking.

Watch out for general improvement of character depth over the next 20 strips. 10 of which are actually written!

Please, stop showing praise upon me and wait a minute! That's not praise at all! In fact that stuff kinda stinks! Gimme a break people, at least I posted already. Sheesh, fans are so demanding...

Aw shucks thanks guys. You're all swell.

And McEwin, rest assured, this baby doesn't stop until I get to 100. And even then I'll have a new strip up and running towards 100 soon after... I've got a good 6 weeks before uni goes back, so there should be frequent updates.

Tell your friends, and you're attractive female enemies too...

No, the angle is just to show he's not always facing sqaure to the panel.
I think it makes it look less structured and sqaure, and more like we really see, in a circle rather than a block. Plus no one ever stands parallel to others.

Woah.
Crap! Updates! The world must be ending!

Seriously, nice. I hope you keep updating now.

Oh, is one of Berlin's legs shorter than the other, sometimes?

Agreed, the art has been improving over the last 2 strips.
