A bunch of idiots like comics. It's funny, trust me.

Updates Mondays.

I don't think there's much else to say. I think this time I'm not going to start Cominerds up again, but you never know.

It was fun trying an overarching story this time around. And having some character development, even if it made as much sense as everything else in this comic.

But new projects are singing sweet songs into my ear, and it's time to move on.

So yeah get over it already.
Except in the real comics, Spidey said "WELL WHY NOT, I WASN'T USING MY MARRIAGE ANYWAYS."

Yes, this is Chloe's favorite anime. Cowboy Bebop. And NOT just because it's my favorite. I wanted her to like the different anime. So mostly not Shojo or Shonen.

But don't you wish you could write a fanfic that would solve all the problems you had with YOUR anime?

Happy Christmas and other assorted holidays! I was considering making a Christmas special, but I figured y'all would rather the plot advance. Well, kinda advance.

I have just been informed by my brother that real-people fics are, in fact, a thing. Supposedly banned from fanfic communities too, which means this comic makes even more sense than I originally thought.

Yes, Alan Moore really does look that crazy. He makes me afraid of the world.

...Wednesday counts as weekend, right?

Most all of the cosplayers here I based off real cosplayers that I know. I'm just now realizing that not everybody is awesome enough to cosplay to an anime con. Hey, I could have made that crowd scene a lot easier. Well I guess it was fun to draw at any rate.
Man, I remember going to the library. Used to do it every day before we moved to a town with a crappy library.

This time, I tried scanning my pencils and coloring behind that. I can't really tell if it works or not. I don't think I'm going to do it again, even though it was really nice not having to ink. I don't like inking for some reason. But if it was a choice between inking and making my sketches super-neat, I'd choose inking. And I think it's better for the comic anyways.

Double update! Make sure to check out the one after this.

Shortly after, Andy broke the laws of time and space to suggest Rose and Dom give him a tattoo reading "Comics are not for kids." Tattoos are for the important stuff, the stuff other people can't change.

Next week, we'll have a bit with Dom and Rose. And remember kids, smoking is not ok unless you're a duck.

I've decided to try and make Cominerds more story-oriented. Not by much, but yeah. I, uh, that's a lot of green. Why did I make the inside of the store green again? It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Oh, and The Unfunnies is bad in all the wrong ways. Don't read it.
If you don't get it, I don't think there's any way to explain it and it still be funny. Watch The Princess Bride.
I tried out a new coloring style. A more simple one. Do you guys like this better or worse than the old coloring styel? Example:

The new style is about a million times easier and faster, but I can't tell if it looks better.

I've finished a couple projects of mine, which freed up my weekends. And lately I've been thinking of new material, so I'm pretty excited about this.

By the way I totally love manga, don't get me wrong. Andy is just psycho.
Sorry I'm so late.

The close observer might notice two thing: I have changed the font, and this is a four-panel comic. Why four panels? I wanted to try something new. This may seem a bit backwards, but it's a lot easier to write four-panel comics than entire pages. Heck, if I was drawing digitally at the start, they probably would've all been four-panels.

And the font? It's smaller and more readable. Seriously, the old one was humongous. There was no way I was fitting that onto a four-panel comic.
Update! You may notice this is in black and white. This is not due to my laziness, but due to my scanner not recognizing freaking black ink as black, but rather gray. This means any color on a layer underneath colors the lineart and clashes horribly. Therefore, I couldn't color it. Therefore, it's in B/W.

I'm never scanning in Cominerds comics again.

And now I know.

And yes, none of this makes any sense, even to me.
Happy Halloween! I dressed up as Link all day when we went on errands. It was awesome.

I'm actually getting sick of drawing on the tablet. So next week, I'm'a try drawing on paper, and coloring it on PaintSai. Hopefully, it'll be shorter as well.

Another interesting fact: did you know that I lost the font for Ed's words? Yeah, it was on the computer that was fried. I don't even remember what it was...maybe I'll just hand-letter it from now on.

By the way, Dom doesn't trick-or-treat (for some weird reason), and Maria is off on her own. She goes for the richest part of the neighborhood for the best candy.

Everyone's costumes: Andy is Ben Reilly from Spiderman, Chloe is Kallen from Code Geass, and Rose is Ed from Cowboy Bebop.

Next time on Cominerds: Bob's backstory.

...I miss whiteland.

Sorry about the lateness, the computer screwed up.

Whiteland...why can't more of my comics take place there? And this was just for laughs (ok maybe I'm a little lazy, so sue me), everyone will be back in normal land by next comic.

pwii out!
