Heavy Mech

by TH3GADFLY
In the wake of an alien attack, a virus has wiped out nearly all human males.

The only ones left? The Pilots of the LMHUs, diabolical giant mechs made in the haste of war.
Deemed too deadly for just men to use, each pilot is a former convict, and they're headed for Dirge City

Can Hailey Stinson, pilot of a new generation of Mech,
capture them alive, save the human race, and uncover the secrets of the LMHUs?

@Don Quixotes: Sorry man, I lost interest in it and I didn't see it going much further. With other ambitions and projects I wanted to do, the comic wasn't worth continuing.

I really appreciate your involvement, comments like yours was what was keeping me at it and enjoying it.
You always caught my spelling mistakes.

I'll still be making comics though, working on starting a new project as we speak, I'll be posting my progress on it through my tumblr http://th3gadfly.tumblr.com

I have sad news guys
http://th3gadflyinflight.deviantart.com/journal/The-End-of-Heavy-Mech-update-3603 69747

That's right, Heavy mech is ending, Possibly with this page. I was going to finish the chapter but I just don't have enough drive to do a good job anymore. There is too many other things I want to do.

I'll take a One Month Hiatus
to mull over if I should continue this to the end of mission 4.

Comic reviews:

X-men Legacy #7: I used to think this was one of the weaker written books at marvel, but after 7 issues I'm really starting to dig it. The whole dynamic of Legion handling things differently then the X-men would. The explanation of why Luca went bonkers. This is starting to be my favorite marvel book.

New Ghost busters #2: Kylie Griffen is still the quirky charming crush of my childhood, and the story has that Ghostbusters feel of politics and image messing with getting the job done. While the backup is, again, unacceptably short: it does have a nice not the the Haunted Humans toy line.

Green Lantern Corps #18: For a new reader like me having gotten into the series at issue 13, getting a recap of past events in John Stewart's history (and a "what if" for each one) is interesting and brings me a bit up to speed on some things. As for a seasoned Veteren, though, it probably feels like one of those cheasy clip episodes from a TV sitcom.

Wolverine #1: Artwork is good (though wonky in some places) and the story is engaging, though your sort of just thrown in there without much set up. It feels like an issue 2 rather than a 1.

This weeks reviews:

Dial H #10: Sometimes a series introduces a concept so genius that you are glad you picked it up. Please, I BEG you, read Dial H, it is the funnest dc book out now.

Green Lantern #10: Really great art, especoialy when they're in the "Dead Zone", and a zcene that really makes me love the concept of Simon Baz. Gonna miss Geoff Johns when he gets off this book.

Detective Comics #18: A good story about Penguin losing power and the Emperor Penguin filling his shoes. That and a pretty good twist at the end which leaves me wanting to know whats happening next.

In case your wondering about the lack of comic last week, it was because I was working on THIS: http://th3gadflyinflight.deviantart.com/art/Trav-L-Interactive-Comic-355302139
Just a three page comic I did... with a twist. Whether it was worth a week of comic delay is up to you.

Weekly Review Time:
Flash #17: The end of the Gorrilla Warfare story. The most anticlimatic "climax" I've ever seem in a comic (Spoilers: he beat Grodd by throwing a MAMMOTH at him)
Though to be fair, it did tie up all the lose ends, so I'm hopeful it'll get better, after all, next issue crosses over with Dial H!

Talon #5: It took 5 issues but we finally have Batman APPEAR in this Batman spinoff... for about 2 pages. This issue is mostly setup, but it's Scott Snyder so you know he'll deliver.

X-men Legacy #6: I thought to myself before getting this "one last issue then I'm dropping it", but all my doubts and scoffs were turned around on me.
The villain made sense again, both his and Legion's powers were used to good effect, and it did what any end of an arc does best: tie up the lose ends and set up for the next one. A pleasant surprise.

@Don Quixotes: One day...
ONE DAY I will go back,
back in time to the day where men were writing the rules of grammar and when one man said "hmm 'you are', lets just make it shorten into 'your', people will get that that word has two meanings, right?" and then one man, ONE MAN, stood up and said NO.
I will find that man
and I will have my revenge...

Comic Reviews:

New Ghostbusters #1: Anything that brings the saucy goth girl from Extreme Ghostbusters into the forefront is ok in my book. It was mostly set up, and the backup was only a couple of pages, but as someone new to the series: colour me intrigued.

Threshold #2: Not anything spectacular, the fight with Blue Beetle got cut short for the cliffhanger, but it made a good lunchtime read. The backup with Larfleeze made it worth the price, though.

I'm going to be working on a very special Comic project over the next two weeks for school, an interactive comic called Trav.L, so look out for that.
Anywho, on to the reviews:

Dial H #9: This is by far my favorite series of the new 52, a series that really likes to play with it's premise and this is no different. The new hero The Glimpse goes to show how creative they get. Definitely pick this one up!

Batman Detective Comics #17: A plot twist that was sort of obvious and a villain that's sort of meh by Batman standards, but it's Batman standards we're talking here so it was still pretty good.

I love the angles on the Knight's heads, and the whole psychotic Chess-rank-field.

I never have anything to say in these things, so f it, Imma give some micro reviews of the new comic issues I picked up this week (this will be a thing from now on).

Green Lantern Corps Annual #1:
Gotta get my Guy Gardner. An end to the Rise of the Third Army arc that has taken place with all the lantern books. I mostly only read Green Lantern and Green Lantern, but it did pic my interest in the other titles.

Talon #4:
I really like to harp on The Flash nowadays because while the art is good in each issue, LITTLE TO NOTHING HAPPENS!!! Talon #4 however, Had an imposing villain brought in and "defeated" in the span of ONE ISSUE. Sure the whole heist thing started last issue and the bad guy was introduced the one before that, but stuff HAPPENED, plot threads were Closed, IRIS WEST HASN'T BEEN STUCK IN THE SPEED FORCE FOR THE BETTER PART OF 8 ISSUES!

X-men Legacy #5:
No matter how I look at it, the revelation of who the eyeball guy (long story) was made no dag nab sense. I don't want to spoil it, but, no, just no.
