Suggestions & Feedback Posting Guidelines
The purpose of this board is to allow community members to suggest new features or changes to be added to Smack Jeeves. Even if you aren't sure of a specific solution, but you recognize the need for an improvement, point it out!

Before Posting
Please browse/search the forum to make sure your suggestion hasn't already been made by someone else. If you find an idea similar to yours, post your contributing thoughts to that thread. Don't start a new thread unless your idea is significantly different from existing suggestions.

Rules

    1) Use a descriptive title when making a suggestion or pointing out the need for improvement.

    2) Describe the problem / solution in detail. First, explain why there is a problem or a need for a new feature to begin with. Then, describe your proposed solution (if you have one) clearly and effectively.

    3) Respect others' ideas. If you disagree with someone else's ideas or suggestions, respectfully and factually state why. While debate over different solutions is fine, insults or personal attacks will not be tolerated.

Sticky System
Suggestions that have been approved and chosen for implementation by the development team will be stickied. When development begins on an idea, that topic will be moved to the New Features & Changes in Progress board.

Okay so, a while ago I suggested something about maybe being able to hide some comics you've faved and such. After that was dismissed (for good reasons) I instead said maybe it could be that you have the option of on your profile page, rather than having your list of faves on display, instead displaying comics that you've chosen to reccomend. That way you can easy direct people to the comics you choose and let people know the kinda thing you're about- It's particularly good for those of us who fave quite a lot of comics.

This was mentioned before, but I kinda wanted to formally suggest it I guess. It was some time ago that it was talked about.

+1

Would these chosen comics have to come from your favourites, or would you be able to recommend any comic? I'd imagine picking from faves would be easier to implement.

The only thing for me is that many of my faved comics have very little or nothing in common with my comic. Not that I wouldn't recommend them to people, it's just that someone who reads my comic might not therefore like some of the comics I have faved.

Of course it's all moot since I have a page with links to other comics I support, and in my hypocritical seedy ways those don't have anything to do with my comic either for the most part.

But I guess it couild still be athing for others, so I'll still post this post..

I would imagine it would come from your faves list =) Maybe in your favourites list, you could tick a box if you wanted it to become one of your reccomended comics.

Agreed. Would be a good thing to have on profiles or possibly a standard format optional page to include on the comic site itself.
As in, one where all you have to do is add the URL's of SJ comics and then the page is automatically generated for your comic. I may be thinking of the code as being far simpler in my head than real life, but if that was possible it could be rather helpful for people with a HTML allergy.
If it was a workable solution this could even be applied to other things like character pages...though I feel like I'm going off on a tangent that requires a new topic now.
